These steam eye masks work well for quickly heating up and soothing tired eyes. However, I was disappointed to see that the individual packets have no labeling on them, so they aren't great for splitting up to include in gift baskets as the recipient would have no idea what it is or how to use it.

I'm typically not a fan of disposable things like this but I don't like how thick and heavy microwavable masks are and battery ones seem like they would be bulky. I do like these very much though. They are lightweight and stay on well and are very comfortable. It took about 5 minutes to fully heat up but within 2 minutes I could feel the heat. I wore it to bed because I had a headache so I can't say how long the heat lasted but more than 15 minutes. It helped me to fall asleep quickly and when I woke in the morning it was still in place and still comfortable. It does not produce steam so I don't know why the call it a steam mask. Maybe a translation error. But it feels nice and has no scent that I noticed.

I've used these a few times already, because I have dry eyes. The heat feels really nice on them. These are pretty cool, because there are no cords involved. You just tear open the package, unfold the bits that go around the ears, and then wait for it to heat up. It does take a few minutes to start feeling heat. Also, it stays nice and warm for at least 15-20 minutes. The first patch I used, it stayed hot for quite a while, and I was actually concerned about throwing it away in my kitchen trash. The ones I've used since cool down fairly quickly. (The inconsistency is the only reason for giving it 4 out of 5 stars). I know nothing about mugwort, so I can't speak to its properties. I can say that I think these are a great alternative to plug-in eye masks.

Best part of this self-heating mask: it's blue and does not look (at least not as much) like a pantyliner the way so many self-heating masks do. The ear loops are stretchy and strong. The masks have not ripped even when I used extra pressure trying to get them adjusted, a big problem I've had with other self-heating masks. The heat was not particularly strong, and not strong enough to create steam on its own, but I was impressed that the heat lasted a good 20 minutes. I have some mugwort heat-based products and typically notice a scent with mugwort. I could not detect any scent or additional benefits from the mugwort. For steam, you can put a sleep mask on top of this heated mask to make a little steam, or try misting your eye area before you apply the mask. The actual mask is very soft and comfortable to use. The price of $20 for a box of 10 seems a bit steep but they are a really nice treat. And again, you could use these in public if you had to without getting too many weird looks. Each mask is sealed in a foil pouch for convenience.

I love self-heating eye masks, whether it is in the morning to help de-puff if my eyes feel dry and irritated from overnight, or before bed after a long day of working outdoors and getting who-knows-what blown toward my eyes. These make a great addition to my arsenal of eye care. They took a few minutes to heat up, maybe a bit longer than other masks I've tried, but after the initial waiting period, they reached and maintained a nice heat, for longer than the box suggested. They are soft and flexible, and the ear loops are non-pinching. Finally, they are completely unscented--no fragrances or odors. The individual wrapping makes them easy to travel with.

These are very pleasant on the eyes and face! There are quite a few in a box and work really well for travelling or at home. Just tear open the pouch and pull one out. Fold out the ear hooks and slip on, and within a couple of minutes this thing warms up to a nice, comfortable temperature. It is very soothing, and the warmth lasts a long time. The product description says up to 30 minutes but the first one I tried lasted much longer. Overall, a great product!
