Worst kit I ever purchased in my life. Nothing fit right. Pipes were bent wrong, exhaust hangers welded in the wrong spot. Immediately packed it up and returned it. Do yourself a favor and buy a different brand. Lost $30 here in return postage and tax.

My truck is 20 years old. The muffler rusted, I decided to purchase this inexpensive assembly and get to work. This is getting three stars because the back assembly is what I need to replace and that part fit nicely. (The prongs to hold the muffler in place has no stopper but if you get creative that’s not a big issue.) HOWEVER; if your muffler issue is with the actual muffler, this will NOT fit. The clamp to connect to the catalytic converter is completely different. If you are willing to do some improvising. It can work but if you’re looking for plug and play you will be disappointed. I was very disappointed that the muffler inlet and outlet positions did not match the OEM muffler. All other components are OK and match exactly but the muffler issue causes the whole system to be flawed. I had to rig the muffler's position to get it to work but the rest of the piping did not properly line up with the hangers and the muffler sits noticeably lower than the OEM. I should have returned the kit but that seemed like a big hassle because of the way it was shipped to me. In the future I will be more cautious when Amazon tells me that a part is an exact fit for my vehicle. *******UPDATE 6/11/22******* I replaced this system today after the muffler started leaking and I was correct - this did not fit my Explorer. They shipped me the muffler with the outlet on the wrong side. I replaced this system with a different brand and it snapped together and fit like a glove. The good news is that this system lasted 33,000 miles. The tail pipe also had a hole rusted through. My advice is to just buy the W system from RA and avoid a mistake like this. ... show more
