I first started using this product last year towards the end of the season. We had a typical Montana winter and in the spring when snow and ice was gone I noticed how clear the pond looked. I waited until May until water warmed up and added more muck remover and pond is still crystal clear, I can see all my trout swimming around now whereas in the past I could only see them up near the top. So, the reviews weren't really helpful when I purchased this. Some said these pellets help, some said they don't. I went ahead and gave them a try anyways. I raked out our dock area then treated with these pellets. Checked a few weeks later- NOTHING! A couple weeks after that we had a ton of week growth. If anything, these tablets are like miracle grow. Our dock area is now over grown with weeds and the muck us so much worse. I really wish, I wouldn't have wasted my money and time. Now I have to spend more money and time to fix this problem. :-( ... show more

My pond is dry all summer, fills to overflowing in rainy season by seasonal creek carrying runoff “nutrients” from uphill roads and properties, drowning the summer grasses which then start decaying, so it gets super mucky and foul until it dries up in early June. For first time this year I installed low power pump and filter to keep the water circulating, but it wasn’t enough to filter out enough of the nutrients so I tried tossing in these pellets as instructed, they worked amazingly well to clarify the water - I repeated every few weeks as the rains brought more “nutrients” and decaying continued. The water quality was good enough for a pair of ducks to take up residence in the pond for several months which was super rewarding. if I can run electrical down there I can get a more powerful pump and filtration next rainy season, but in any case I definitely plan to keep using this product. ... show more
