Description

MB210SP Amp and Enclosure View larger MB210SP Enclosure Simple and Easy BassThe Magnum MB210SP is a simple and easy way to add bass to any vehicle system. This amplifier and enclosure package from the makers of MTX Audio is designed to offer excellent price and performance so that anyone can add bass to their music.Engineered for BassThe MB210SP enclosure is a dual 10" vented enclosure that is capable of handling up to 400 watts RMS power. The subwoofers themselves utilize a lightweight polypropylene dustcap and a large rubber surround to generate excellent SPL on any power. The large port on the front of the enclosure adds additional SPL especially when listening to music like Rap or Hip-Hop where a deeper more resonating bass sound is preferred. The enclosure is constructed using 5/8" MDF (medium density fiberboard) which means it is designed to handle excessive bass with no fear of failure.Power IncludedOne of the best things about the MB210SP is that it includes an amplifier that is designed specifically for the enclosure. Two advantages, you don't need to worry about finding an amplifier to use with it and you don't have to worry about over or under driving the subwoofers because the amplifier is made specifically for it. All you need is some speaker wire and an amp kit and you are ready to go. • Good Buy
Style: Dual 10" Subwoofer Enclosure + Amplifier Pattern: Subwoofer
I bought and installed these a few months ago, shipping was good, took a while, but it was free so i wont complain. The price was very low so i was initially a little worried, but it turned out great! The install was really simple, i had never done any wiring in my car before this and i was able to figure it out without a problem. If you have absolutely no experience in electrical wiring you may want to have someone help you with the remote turn on wire, you will have to use a crimper to connect it to the head unit. Now for the amp and subs. These are, like the description says, two 10 inch 800 watt subs. The amp is one, 800 watt amp. With that said, recommend using the amp that came with them for the first few months to break them in. I will be honest, i was comparing these to my friends 3500 watt amp and 12 inch subwoofer, both are competition grade. Despite being used to hearing that, i was still impressed by these. They are my first subs and i didnt want anything too powerful because i have an older car, but they definetly add to the music. For what i wanted, these were perfect. They had the perfect amount of bass, it fills the inside of my car without overpowering the rest of the song. I may eventually buy a more powerful amp, but even with the original one i am very happy. These are an amazing buy for an amazing price. If you are just an average joe lookin for more bass in your car these are perfect, they wont rattle your trunk so you dont need to worry about paying to have your car foamed. Buy the wiring kit that amazon recomends and it will all go perfect. Again, i am very happy with how they sound, and perform. Great price, comes with the box and amp, the perfect package for adding a reasonable amount of base to your music. ... show more

  • Have owned these since August of 2012 and still amazing!!
Style: Dual 10" Subwoofer Enclosure + Amplifier Pattern: Subwoofer
So I bought this in August 2012 and here's what I have to say about it. I have heard better subs, but for the price, no way. These sound really good and there's quite a thump to them. I keep them in the trunk pointing towards the brake lights and pull down one of the backseats so I have access to the trunk. That way there's less material separating me and the subs. The vented port on the box is tuned a little on the high side for me, I have to admit. You'll definately hear the lower notes, but the port emphasizes the higher bass frequencies. The amp that comes with it is okay, I have had no worries with it. People say that if they have it on too long then it overheats and shuts off, which it does, but I haven't pinpointed the exact cause of this. It only does it when the amp gets really hot, so maybe if I have the heat on really high or there is something covering the amp? I had this happen to me half-an-hour into a road trip and then I've had it happen an hour into a road trip, but that was during the first couple months of buying this set. I have not experienced the amp getting too hot and turning itself off in the past year and a half. I would really recommend this pair of subs and amp to anyone that's considering it . Due to the price, quality, and sound. Now that I have experienced what it's like having bass, I would most likely buy a more mainstream brand sub and enclosure that has lower frequency tuned port and higher wattage just because I am a basshead but these are keeping me very happy for the time being. Its been an amazing two years and I can't wait to listen to them for years to come. ... show more

  • Pretty good for the money.
Style: Dual 10" Subwoofer Enclosure + Amplifier Pattern: Subwoofer
For $200 it's hard to say that these suck. If it was twice thw price, I would say that thwy suck. I've had single 12's that were louder and with better sound quality, but they were a lot more expensive. No issues with the amp ever cutting out or overheating, the whole unit is fairly small for a two sub box. They add low end sound and can rattle the mirrors and liftgate. Sound quality is the only down side. Certain notes sound great, some sound muddy. I've tried to adjust a few times but just can't seem to get them to always sound good. For a $200 sub/amp setup I can deal with that. These will eventually get replaced with something better down the road. I feel like this setup would sound the best in a car with a trunk, right now I have them in a small SUV with an open rear hatch area and I feel like that contributes to some of the muddy sound at times. Overall very good for the money but you do get what you pay for in sound quality. ... show more

  • The best $150 you can spend!
Style: Dual 10" Subwoofer Enclosure + Amplifier Pattern: Subwoofer
I received this setup in perfect condition, was of higher quality than I expected.. I am a speaker lover so I immediately pulled a speaker to see what this system was made of. I was happy to find a decent sized vented magnet and a solid built speaker. I now have high hopes as this has potential to be solid system. I installed the enclosure in the rear of my H 2, all hooked up and cranked it up... Not too impressive... Didn't sound like much even at max gain, and max bass boost.. Everything done right this is nowhere near my first install.. As another reviewer had said....no need to use a signal splitter, why would you on a mono block amp? Well on this mono amp if you don't use a splitter on the RCA input to the amp from your single subwoofer output off the deck this system sounds pathetic. The second I plugged in the splitter WOW! This thing came to life!! Super low lows..tight, clean WOW! Mirrors shake.. Not going to crack any glass, but super clean reproduction of all types of music ( no rap.. rap isn't music) to the other reviewers who were unsatisfied..they must have not used a $3 splitter to complete the install, this should have been in the instructions..USE A SIGNAL SPLITTER! And you can't go wrong.. Buy it.. ... show more
