Quality looks good and easy to install. Not everyone is as handy so some instructions in box would have helped. You will need to remove the plastic fairing on either side of the radiator and then remove the 10mm bolt holding the brackets to the radiator on either side highlighted in the picture and just move the brackets out of the enough to slide the guard in. The guard mounts on these 10mm bolts sandwiched between the radiator and plastic brackets. Be cautious when installing to not damage the radiator fins. Use blue loctite and about 5 ft lb to fasten the 10mm bolts. I found that the best place for the adhesive foam was on either side right where the grill is riveted to metal frame. ... show more

No directions included. If you have a 2025 MT-09, you need to temporarily remove the 4mm bolt holding the horn bracket. Once the grill is in place reinstall that bolt. Also, there was a rubber strip with tape on one side included in the box. I have no idea where it goes and don’t see why it would be needed. As far as quality, it’s a $40 part protecting a $500 radiator. It’s a sacrificial item. It will do the job. If not, I’ll buy a different one. No big deal. Shame on Yamaha for not including similar protection in such a precarious location. ... show more

I was going to give 2 stars but I want to be fair and bit emotional. I may be able to get better fitment with dremel tool but this was truly a pain but I couldn't risk not having the protection. DO NOT DAMAGE YOUR RADIATOR FINS DURING INSTALLATION!

first of there's no instructions in the box but be smart about it and go to you tube and search tail tidy, the explanation and instructions are all on you tube, if you get a new license plate light with the kit just cut the connection off your old light and splice it to the new one, it took me about an hour to install and the rear of my mt09 looks so much better. ... show more
