  • A little off-taste but extremely handy
Style: 4-liter
Hung in camp during recent backpacking trip. Great for water for cleaning body and dishes. Used to top off drinking water in AM. Extremely useful. Also used to carry extra water in pack when sources were limited. Lightweight and folds to a small size. The way the smaller plug is tethered is a little annoying to open but beats it backing off and opening in your pack. ... show more

  • Great way to have good amount of water at camp
Style: 6-liter
Was back country camping and this was great. When empty super light, and folds down small. Filter water directly into which gave plenty to use for water bottles, cooking, and occasional rinse of a utensils or the hands. The various sizes on the lid made it easy to use and control the amount of flow. Definitely has earned a spot in my pack. The biggest down side is it takes awhile to filter 6 liters, and then it’s heavy carrying it back to camp and up sand dunes… but better than 12 trips to have enough water. ... show more

  • Lightweight and well designed spout and fill system
Style: 4-liter
Way lighter than the canvas drop pack, still has the best spout/fill system of any water Reservoir. I love how easy it is to fill. It’ll take a bit more protecting to make sure it lasts a long time but still a great purchase

  • Bad Design
Style: 6-liter
Bought this for a high country archery hunt. I found the bag difficult to carry once filled and the lack of handles made it hard to pour. My friend had the Sea to Summit watercell and it was much easier to use. I recommend going with that model.

  • Worked great
Style: 4-liter
I've only used this on one trip so I can't speak to it's durability over time. I'll update if I experience anything like what others have mentioned. It does collapse and pack well. I'm not an UL backpacker so it's plenty light enough for me. I also used it straight from the package on my trip. No pre cleaning or anything and did not experience any bad flavor. Only 2 downsides for me: - the mouth is slightly smaller than a standard Nalgene bottle so the bottle adapter for my Katadyn Hiker Pro filter doesn't fit (I just stuck the hose in it). - the spout can't be adjusted after tightening. so if you don't get the cap just right, then the spout could be pointing in any direction after you tighten it. This cause it to loose a start for me. If I'm able to hang it, then I want to be able to adjust the spout to point down. ... show more

  • Nice concept fuddled with design flaws
Style: 6-liter
I'm giving these 3 stars based on initial impressions and will possibly adjust after I get some more use out of them. So far, unfortunately, I am more annoyed by these than happy with my purchase. The materials seem of high quality, and the concept is excellent, however, at this pricepoint, I expect things to also be designed with excellence. These, sadly, leave me with the feeling that whoever designed them didn't really use them to make sure all their ideas made practical sense. The lids do not align correctly, meaning that pouring can be a challenge. The containers also do not fold up as nicely and easily as you would expect. It's a matter of the length of the container. In addition, the smallest lid has a string that keeps it attached. Nice idea, but poor implementation due to the shortness of the string, it's location, and the fact that it is looped. In actuality, it makes it very difficult to screw on or off the lid. These are all simple design issues that could have been solved easily enough but weren't. At this price, that's inexcusable. Pros: they are lightweight and pack small, different pouring options, they seem durable. Cons: Design issues that could have been easily solved. ... show more

  • Fantastic for backpacking!
Style: 6-liter
We used this most recently on a short backpacking trip. The size and portability is best in class for 6 liters of storage. It's been durable so far, but we are somewhat careful to avoid putting it anywhere the bag might be punctured. Like larger droms, this can be easily hung with the cap facing down. This is excellent for using the small nozzle to wash, and for one person to handle for pouring. We used it in conjunction with a water filter, taking the bag and filter in a superlight daypack to our water source, filling it, and then returning to our main campsite with 6l of clean water - enough for 2 people for the evening and morning. I'd buy it again, and if I need additional capacity, I'll probably buy another. ... show more
