  • Pain to put in, we shall see about cooling
Size: 360 mm Style: MAG CoreLiquid 360R V2
Firstly, THE PUMP IS IN THE RAD, so you SHOULD NOT mount it on the top! Despite what the MSI photos, even on their own website, show, the pump should never ever be at the highest point of the loop. When top mounting, that is the case with this cooler. Pump in rad is not an issue, just needs to be paid attention to! The best orientation for any AIO, regardless of pump location, is technically front mounted, tubes at the bottom. Basic physics about air collecting in the system and preserving the integrity of the CPU (most important) and the pump. If you must top mount, that's fine, just know it will fail much sooner than intended and temps may be higher. Aaaanyway, we just put this in so I can't speak to cooling ability or longevity yet, but in the setup process, we ran into some issues. Namely, the mounting screws, both the small ones for the "outside" for the case, and the long ones for the fans, were very hard to screw in, making us worried--the thing IS filled with water after all. We had to switch to a fatter Phillip's head bit in order to really get a grip on the screw, and plenty of force to get them to screw in all the way--but they DO go in and SHOULD go all the way in!! Just use a bigger bit and plenty of torque, and hold the other side!! Once we actually got the screws to, well, screw in, it was fine! The wiring is a bit tougher, but they do give you a diagram to follow--follow it carefully, and yes, ALL fans must be daisy-chained together, both in fan header and RGB header. The diagram doesn't really show that bit. There are videos on YT of people installing this that show you the hookup process, if you're not sure. It's super duper important that at least the pump header and fan header(s) are plugged in properly, otherwise cooling will...not happen. The RGB is nice, and the build quality feels good. This is for my husband's build, but for me personally, I can't stand that I can see the motor wires and especially the individual RGB LEDs since we have these set as intake on the inside of the rad/case. The rotating block head is a really nice touch that you don't often see, though we didn't need to use it in this case. The tubes also swivel on the block head end, which helps with positioning--husband wanted his up and out of the way but you can also angle them down more, especially if you have room for bottom tubes! Will update about the cooling, but I'm sure it'll be fine. No plans to OC as of now. Using this on a Ryzen 9 5900x, with a 4080 in an ASUS GT501 case, front mounted to the case>rad>intake fans. Please excuse the mess in the photos, we were just testing! ... show more

  • A solid cooler with caveats
Size: 360 mm Style: MPG CoreLiquid K360
To start off this is a Asetek AIO cooler at its core, so in terms of overall cooling performance it functions pretty much inline with its brethren regardless of what moniker they find themselves under, so if you're looking for a in depth analysis of thermals etc. this will not be my focus. This cooler comes at a significant premium mostly due to the included LCD screen on top of the pump for most prospective purchasers this will be the selling point, and that is where I will start, when I initially took the cooler out of the box the plastic outer case designed to protect the LCD came of i panicked but noticed it's literally designed to come off and is secured by what seems to be a magnetized locking mechanism, however, the screen itself also literally popped out of its housing, I was surprised as to how easily it fell out, even after putting it back in I was equally surprised as to how poorly secured it felt, the screen feels flimsy and fragile and is secured to the pump by a ribbon connector I was genuinely concerned could easily tear, so be aware of this. While all the included fans come with rgb lighting, the pump lcd does not, the Hardware Monitor presets are all monochrome and the preset visual effects are three toned and the colors cannot be adjusted, so RGB enthusiasts may have issue with this, you have the option of importing your own image as a BMP but I have not tested this feature. Installation in and of itself for the most part is straight forward for anyone whose installed an AIO before, particularly an Asetek AIO, but this is where many of my significant caveats come about, my first gripe is the the ridiculous amount of cables, there's a USB header, three RGB headers, three fan headers, a SATA header, plus the standard CPU fan header, both the RGB and Fan headers have three to one connectors, but as you can understand the amount of cabling was annoying to manage to say the least, it would be helpful to at the very least have a built in hub on the radiator to plug all these in for the sake of neatness like many other coolers do. My second gripe is the fans themselves, the fans have no airflow indicators so if you do not intuitively know which direction the air travels through them it could cause issues for those less technically inclined. My assumption is the fans are to be mounted in a very specific direction as indicated on the box art and MSI does not expect any deviation from this but for those with specific needs in terms of intake vs exhaust placement, airflow indicators are a god send and for them to not be included on a modern fan is just surprising to me. The cooler does not come with included software and in order to access the software you have to download MSI Center as well which might be a turn off for many who do not like needless bloatware. So with all these concerns why did I still give it 4 stars? the cooler at its core is not at fault because at the end of the day as I said an Asetek Cooler is an Asetek Cooler and it functions admirably, furthermore my concerns regarding cabling I suspect comes with the territory of having three RGB fans and a LCD screen all needing power and the ability to communicate with your PC and I don't have a large enough sample size to question if this is outside of the norm. However the main selling point being the LCD screen and what it's essentially justifying a 30 to 50 dollar mark up for is where I feel somewhat let down, the screen and the fans are the parts MSI are mostly responsible for and the gimmick feels like it was executed poorly with the least amount of effort. ... show more

  • Looks Nice, Quiet, Easy To Install
Size: 360 mm Style: MAG CoreLiquid 360R V2
This is the 4th water cooler I've installed -- on different systems. I bought this one for my Intel i9-13900KS, RTX-4080, system. The first thing I noticed is how effortlessly I was able to install it, compared to the other three. The hoses are flexible enough, and mounting the plate on the CPU is also much easier than the others. The fans are quieter than the other fans in the system, at full speed. The water cooler is able to keep the CPU way below the maximum temperature at high loads. I use this system to play Microsoft Flight Simulator in VR, which is quite demanding. Only occasionally I can hear the fan speed up for a few seconds. Overall, this is the best water cooler I have ever bought. One advice, though, used very good quality thermal paste. I never use the one that comes with the water coolers. I also replace it at least once every 18 months. ... show more

  • Nice but
Size: 360 mm Style: MAG CoreLiquid 360R V2
This is a really nice aio cooler keeps my cpu 35 and 50 idle, only reason for the 4 star is because this cooler is listed new on here but when I received it I could instantly tell it was not, from the packaging I could see was just plastic from some other product thrown on each part not to mention I was missing a cable inside the box as well luckily I didn’t need it would’ve really sucked if I did, the radiator itself had some minor marks and scuffs on the sides and the vents had few bends, the cooler itself didn’t have any pre thermal paste already applied like most aio coolers have already on them when first opened, and the thermal paste that was included in the box basically was a empty tube thank goodness I had some from my other Build I did for my daughters pc. Nevertheless I’ve had it installed for bout a week now so far so good ... show more
