  • Great monitor, overall.
It took a bit of time for me to find a color profile that I liked. It may just be the difference in how light comes off of an IPS panel compared to my TN. The colors seemed way saturated, but there is fantastic On Screen Display for changing settings to fit my needs. I prefer the 16:9 for productivity and gaming. The image quality is fantastic and gaming has not been an issue. I've tried different genre of games with different graphical fidelity and FPS constraints, and overall, I am pleased with it. The OSD can be installed via drivers for a little program that you can more easily tweak with a mouse and keyboard than the on screen display. 5/5 for productivity, 5/5 for non FPS games, and 4/5 or so for FPS. That may be a matter of getting used to twitch reactions from going to a 32" from a 24", but there are a few great Youtube reviews for more insight. 9/20/2021 **Update** After using the monitor for some time, I am still pleased with it. I don't use the HDR on my PC and have local dimming disabled on the monitor. It might be worth it for some, but I felt that it took away from the experience with some titles I have played. I would also say that while I can play FPS's fine by tweaking ingame resolutions, this isn't quite to the level of my BenQ 24.5" 144hz model with CS:GO and other twitch/reflex games. Part of it is not a flaw, but it has everything to do with how close I am for the size and it's size. I would say that it also isn't as "clean" with the flick movements, but I still would stand by what I said about other games. RPG's and 1440p+ movies or shows, 4X strategy games or games that generally don't rely on that instantaneous flicks to enjoy them... this monitor does the job. This lacks features that will future proof it for higher speeds and resolutions, but I can't say that I am not pleased with it. I purchased it at that time knowing that new tech was on the horizon. Color accuracy is incredible and I can just fit it to what I need. I use it primarily for non-FPS games, but I have my BenQ that I can easily move this out of the way to get to. It's best feature to me is the color viability and comprehensive OSD. I can see more Excel or data for business tasks than on the smaller monitors. The price point is fair, but high after some newer monitors have come out. And while it is way more expensive, the 48" OLED from LG would possibly be a better purchase long term if the screen real estate was important. Though smaller displays for FPS's definitely is a must at this point. I hope this helps someone! ... show more

  • COMPLETELY UNDERRATED !!!!
I don't usually leave reviews but this monitor deserves way more recognition than it gets right now. Before buying it I was so skeptical since there aren't much reviews both on amazon and youtube but from the little I've seen people seem to be very happy with their purchase. What really made me jump was the $399 sale during the black friday weekend :"). I must say, after using this monitor for some months now, the price I got it for was an absolute steal! The kind of picture, refresh rate and brightness this monitor is pushing is just mind blowing even for the usual $500 price tag. Not to mention it can actually push 4k natively which I've never seen on a 2k monitor. The picture out of the box was perfect for me but I'm sure with color corrections it can look even better and more accurate. The only small gripe I have is that the contrast is not the best but this is always the case for IPS displays. If you need those deep inky blacks then you'll have to shell out more cash for an OLED. Even with my full reccomendation I will suggest doing as much research as possible before making the purchase but in my experience so far, this is the best display I've ever used. ... show more

  • Solid monitor, be wary of issues on receipt
If you're someone who plays games and occasionally wants to do media work that requires at least some color accuracy, this monitor is a fine choice. The first unit I ordered had some dead pixels, but the replacement I received has been doing just fine after ~3 months. It comes factory calibrated (with a fun sheet detailing all the specs / color gamut coverage), and has easy instructions and simple construction. Haven't noticed any issues with smearing or ghosting, but I have noticed that with full local array dimming turned on it can look a little funky. Not sure if it's just my unit, but something to be aware of. ... show more

  • Amazing jack of all trades monitor
Amazing monitor with pretty much no weakness. - Very good brightness (HDR 600) and vibrant, accurate color vs other monitors I tried in the price range - Great gaming performance, 2K resolution 1080p is a nice balance for a visual boost and also hitting that 165hz refresh framerate as most games this is not possible with 4K even with the best hardware. - Much less or no motion blur that really bothers me with VA panels. - Great viewing angles - Super heavy duty, sturdy stand Overall very happy ... show more

  • A Solid Gaming/Performance Monitor, Broke 6 months after warranty, Poor Customer Support
I bought this monitor after fumbling around with a few others (purchasing and returning) due to low brightness, backlight bleed, and IPS glow issues. I came upon this beauty after much hardship, but let me tell you it was worth it. However the monitor started to break right as the warranty ended. MSI stonwalled me and did not provide and RMA even when I offered to pay. It's pricey, but for gaming and designing, it's a exactly what I needed, its too bad it didn't last long and MSI wasn't very helpful once it broke. ... show more

  • You can do much better for less
I had this monitor for about a week and returned it (another retailer). The screen suffered from horrible image retention, the screen's blacks were splotchy, the features gimmicky. The final straw was when I realized the power button didn't actuate at all (broken). If you're looking at this monitor, take a look at the LG 32GP850-B instead. Equal or superior in virtually every way and cheaper. ... show more
