So as I’ve shared before I live in the Pacific Northwest. That means it gets breezy but not “you’re about to relocate to the land of Oz”. Unless you are right at the ocean but that’s another story. I have three kinds of umbrellas I always keep on hand. The first is a small, durable one I keep in my work pack for those days where the weather decides to be impish and use super soakers on you. The second is for emergencies in my vehicle. Usually for moments of you are just parking outside your building and now you need to dash in so isn’t it wonderful the loving husband thought of an emergency umbrella. The third pertains to this one and why I got it. It’s a more dashing one where I go on small walks with my wife and dog and want to keep the elements off us and back onto the ground where it belongs. My first finding on opening this umbrella is that it’s very lightweight. Good for walking around if you don’t need it right away. Opening is a snap. Closing isn’t hard. But I just can’t shake this feeling… It doesn’t seem sturdy enough to be considered ‘wind proof’. It does keep the rain off you, and the stitching of the rain repellant fabric is okay. But the metal arms and pole itself just feels a bit flimsy. Has it broken on me? No… it has not. But it’s also not winter yet. So we will see and then I’ll update. Pros • Lightweight • Easy to carry • Easy to open • Easy to close • Does keep the rain off of you Cons • Feels TOO lightweight. Like it might snap in a true breeze Overall, it’s an inexpensive option that looks decent for when I’m out on a walk with my family. But I’m unsure of the durability.

The umbrella over here is very nice and and seems to be sturdy to withstand heavy rains and moderate winds. The umbrella looks very nice having 16 ribs (although I think making less ribs and having them be wider would be a wiser idea, for 2 reasons, the first being that there would be a less of a chance of something going wrong with the umbrella, meaning now that there are 16 ribs, there are more ribs that can break, the second reason is the looks, I think that a umbrella containing only 8 ribs would look nicer... But it still looks great) the wooden handle is very nice and stylish, and a very nice feel while holding. The umbrella opens very easily having to just press a button and it opens... The umbrella is quite large And can probably fit 2 average sized people comfortably while walking close to each other, but one person under it is still preferred. It comes with a nice case and a strap to hold it with. The umbrella has a nice top point, you can use it as cane or to press a elevator button (; The umbrella has a velcro strap so that it can be easily strapped while not in use. Overall this is a wonderful umbrella and is sturdy!!

I bought this umbrella as a birthday gift for my husband. Yesterday, as he was walking with, it just fell apart on him.. (see ohoto.) It wasn't even windy at the time. He loved this umbrella, and has been using it for less than a month. So, so disappointing. I hope to get either a refund or a replacement. Perhaps this one was defective.
