Received the futon mattress even before the promised delivery date. It was packed in plastic inside a cardboard box and rolled up. Upon unpacking it, it was clean and obviously new with no flaws whatsoever. The bright blue color matches our Florida Gators theme perfectly and really completes the room. And to top it off, surprisingly... this mattress is softer and more comfortable than the original one that came with the futon! I was somewhat skeptical because of the price, but I've owned this product for several week now I'm very satisfied with it. I've sat on many futons which were just uncomfortable and made my back hurt, but not this one. Would recommend, 10/10. Also, I too experienced a bad aroma when unpacking, it went away after 3 or 4 days. It's pretty typical for foam products. ... show more

The reviews don't lie: this thing smells and will continue to smell until you douse it with Febreze like holy water in an exorcism, while turning a fan on it for about a week. Most of the smell is gone now, but I could also just be nose blind. The comfort is pretty decent. The cover is nice and well attached. The mattress itself seems well made; it did take a full 48hrs for it to full expand and even now, I'm not sure that what I'd designate as 6" really is 6". ;-) Fast shipping and it was easy to take apart. It's HEAVY/bulky. I picked it up from Fed Ex and had to load it by myself. Definitely eat your Wheaties before trying to pick this up solo. ... show more

This futon mattress smelled like chemicals for months. We had it airing upstairs in an unused bedroom with the windows cracked for two months, and I could smell it as I walked up the stairs. Even worse, it packed down to about four inches in height after less than four months of normal use as a couch. My advice is to save up for a better mattress. We had to dispose of this one and buy another. (Our previous futon mattress lasted 22 years! We only got rid of it because our kitten urinated on it.) ... show more

    • Great cushion for a large swing replacement.
Great replacement for my 2005 porch swing. I kept recovering the cushion every year because it was so comfortable to sit on. But this year it had to be buried. This futon mattress fits perfectly snug on my swing. The best part is I can interchange full sheets on it to keep it clean from dust and bird droppings. My swing is a very durable metal swing that has beautiful patina from all the changing seasons throughout the years. ... show more

I like the color, its ok for a teenager to sit on but his friends who have slept on it a agree its very uncomfortable. Lost some of its firmness in a couple months
