  • Best Value Big Boy Gimbal vs Weebil S vs Ronin S
The AirCross 2 stands out and in my opinion offers the better value compared to the competition including the Weebil S, Ronin S, Ronin SC and others. I recently upgraded to a much larger Fuji XH1 from my smaller APS-C cameras. This camera is heavy and awkward to balance on smaller gimbals. Don't even consider trying it with it's battery grip or larger lenses. I wish I had the smaller form factor and weight of my older cameras, but as it is, the XH1 now needs a much more capable gimbal to support and carry it. I have a smaller Crane M2 for my smaller cameras and I love how compact it is. Unfortunately, this is not anywhere near as compact, easy to pack or setup. I have also used a few of the competing gimbals mentioned earlier, so will be basing my overview/review in comparison to those. I've added a few photos showing size comparison to my M2 and a mini monopod as well as a ruler. Pro - Smooth AF - One of the most important, if not the most important thing to consider with any gimbal, is having smooth camera movements in a variety of uses. Panning, running, walking, inverted are what I most use it for, and it does them all very well, with minimal shake, jitter or bounce. - Like with all gimbals, to get smoother shots, you will need to ninja walk and have your gimbal slightly tilted forward in order to maximize the use of vertical balance. Pro - Lightweight - Despite being relatively large, it's still pretty light. I shot using it for a few hours without complaints. Pro - Battery life/charging speeds - This charges fast and lasts a long time on a single charge - Thank you for including USB C charging - Thank you for including a hot-swap battery system - Thank you for having easy camera charging built in Pro - App/Modes - Without getting too much in the details, what's most important is the app is reliable, pairs fast, and has several useful modes to get creative shots with Pro - VALUE! - At it's current 400 price, it offers the best value for it's payload and features. Competing gimbals don't really compete in weight class. Con - Size/Portability - Coming from a smaller Crane M2, I miss having a compact gimbal which could easily fit in my camera bag. Due to its design, even when removing the tripod feet, it's still long. Even when locking down all the axis of the gimbal, it's still very wide, which for me is the trickiest part of packing it up. - Unfortunately, this means I need to use the hard case to pack it up and it can't fit in my bag with ease. Con - Interface Menu/Quirks - Using the on gimbal modes, menu, dials, just aren't very intuitive to me. Compared to the Crane M2, which I didn't have to read any manuals or videos to learn on it, the Air Cross is pretty confusing to use and change settings on the fly. Con - Handle Customization - Compared to the Weebil S specifically, which has a handle that can be mounted in 2 spots, allowing you to more easily use it inverted or other uses, I wish the AirCross could do the same. Overall, really good value gimbal that can hold big cameras with big lenses with relative ease. Some quirks and issues that are mostly minor, but are made up for with its value and ease of use. ... show more

  • Simple To Use Right Out Of The Box
The media could not be loaded. Summary: I've been wanting a gimbal for quite a while and was waffling between something small to use my phone with or a larger unit for my Canon M50 with wide angle EF lens and adapter. The AirCross 2 comes with a cell phone mount and will easily do both. I'm quite happy with it. There is a small learning curve to get the camera balanced, but not bad once you do it the first time. As far as stability, I find it smooth as butter. The only movement comes from my poor walking technique at this point. As I get better, this gimbal will easily grow with me. Quality: From packaging to each component, the quality appears to be very high. Attention to detail is clearly a priority to the manufacturer. The foam carrying case keeps every component safely stowed in a locking case that is easy to add to your gear loadout. Buttons, joystick, and switches all feel smooth and responsive. Balance: The first time balancing your camera, be sure to use the lockout switches on each of the axes. One at a time, unlock the switch and slide the bracket forward or back until you can position the camera in any position and it holds. After all 3 axes are balanced, long press the knob on the left side to power up the gimbal. It should immediately level the camera and maintain that level under any movement. Use the joystick to adjust the vertical/horizontal angle of your camera while filming. ... show more

  • I left Weebill S at home...
I am VERY surprised at this gimbal. After using it for a week, this is now my main gimbal for any shoot. I was pleasantly surprised by the Moza Aircross 2. At first it looked like another gimbal, but once you put it together with a heavy setup like the Sony a7III + 16-35mm, you realized right away that this thing can handle a lot more. Here are a few things that I like about it: - Material is sturdy - Locking mechanism is very tight, unlike the Weebill S - The L-bracket actually makes it easy to balance your gimbal - Changing the motor strength on the fly is very nice - being able to individually lock each axis when you are flying is awesome. - one click for inception mode is a bonus (everyone should do this) - The gimbal UI is very easy to use. Con: - it's heavier because of the L-Bracket ... show more

  • LIGHT WEIGHT AND COOL
The media could not be loaded. It is made of good quality ABS plastic and there is a bunch of rubberized material for the grit, tripod and motors. So the motors are fully protected from normal wear and tear. The battery is better than some other gimbals, it is no longer using 18650 batteries. It can be charged by a usb type-c. I have used the gimbal for several times after the battery was fully charged and it still has 25% power left. These is a LED ring with a power button, you can turn the LED on or off and customize the function of the wheel up and down, left and right and rotate. It is very easy to operate when you have your camera balanced on this gimbal. I can not balance it as first and then a find a balancing video on YouTube . And it has no trouble balancing and it can check the balance electronically. Here is my favorite-The application “MOZA Master” for either Androids or iOS is very intuitive and very easy to navigate,“mimic mode” is awesome and you can use your smartphone move it around and control the gimbal. I like the inception mode as well which can make your footage more creative. It is really cool and light weight. The motors are pretty strong. I haven’t had any issues with this gimbal. ... show more
