We have a massive collection that’s constantly growing, and are trying to fit them all in an apartment on the 3rd floor with no elevator. So lightweight and easy to take apart was a huge sell for us. They only fit 4 in each section, 2 if you have 2 pop moments, or one if it’s a special type. It took me two hours while watching a good movie to assemble this for my books. It is perfect for the low price. Count all pieces prior to starting. Inspect for any damaged pieces too. Be gentle. Make sure you assemble all the shelves first in the exact same way and then it’s a piece of cake. Shiny sides out and on top of shelves. I used the gloves as not to cut myself on the metal pieces and to tap rods into place. I’m a senior citizen who doesn’t own a mallet and didn’t need one. Enjoy! ... show more

I bought the 8 shelf (4 tier) version. It ended up being 6 shelf (3 tier) because multiple plastic pieces snapped with minimal force while putting this together. This bookshelf is made entirely out of printed plastic and metal poles that fit into pre-drilled platic holes. There are no screws or bolts. If you are someone who gets impatient when putting together furniture, or if you are generally not a careful person, don't buy this. It is difficult to put together. While it may be cheap, it's not worth the price if you break all the plastic pieces. ... show more

Now listen. There are two ways you can go about assembling this. You can either test to see how much someone loves you by having them help you assemble it or you can test how much you hate yourself by assembling it alone. Either way you will experience pain from the constant bending and ill-fitting rods. HOWEVER. If you make it to the end, you'll be glad you did because for the price, it isn't all that bad and does hold good weight. You might experience a little snappy-snap of the rods here and there and you may even experience a little snappy-snap of your mind but in conclusion, I recommend it if you want to save money and store some of whatever you like to store. ... show more

The instructions were easy enough for my 12 year old to follow and assemble the shelves mostly by himself. The shelves are perfect for a few books, remote control cars and displaying LEGO builds. The only negative is one of the connector pieces for the middle of the shelf has a crack in it. We didn't see it until the shelf was almost finished and we don't want to disassemble it to return it, but can't find a way to contact the manufacturer to get it replaced. ... show more

This thing kind of sucks to be honest. It looks horrible, the soft plastic sheets don't provide a truly stable surface so you have to make sure you can balance books on two of the bars below the sheets. But at the same time, it's a $30 bookshelf. What on earth would you expect? I struggled to answer that question myself when I felt disappointment at it, and have since overcome that disappointment. It's extremely annoying to put together as well. I'm going to replace it in the semi-near future with a proper bookshelf, but this'll tide me over in the meantime I guess. ... show more

If you’re someone like me who has no experience building anything ever, you’ll like that this comes with no screws, nuts, bolts and no need to use a screwdriver or hammer. While this is a pro, it’s also a con because there’s nothing really supporting it all and it’s pretty fragile and unstable. I get that you get what you pay for, but I don’t even think this product should be sold on amazon. Firstly, the instructions come with no words, just pictures and labels which wasn’t that hard to figure out but considering how annoying it can be putting this together, I feel like words would’ve helped. It’s not even necessarily difficult, after a while it’s self explanatory but good luck fitting the pieces together and keeping the whole thing from falling apart. It’s like playing jenga, one wrong move and you’re done. For a bookshelf, that’s unacceptable. It’s just a bunch of metal pipes under plastic and it’s just not sustainable. If you’re looking to use this as any kind of storage, keep scrolling and spring for spending that extra few bucks. ... show more

I bought still on Amazon Prime Day. I opened the box and it just looks cheap. I wanted to put a small TV on it but I'm afraid that it either weren't be strong enough or my TV will rip through the vinyl. I was expecting metal and plastic, what I got was plastic and vinyl.
