OK so I was super nervous to try freeze dried food in a bag.... but I wanted to try a few before we buy a bunch to store long term. So to say I was pleasantly surprised it putting it mildly. I grew up in the restaurant biz, so I'm hard to please with food. Also, I can't have Gluten so there is that obstacle as well. So if you are on the fence go for it! I'm going to try the Beef Stew next hopefully that will be just as good! The bag is SUPER thick which is excellent for storage purposes. Prepping it was super easy. Just add boiling water and seal and stir......I hope this helps my other people who have to eat GF!!! ... show more

My wife, my 6yr old son and I had this for dinner a couple of days ago when we went backpacking for a single overnight on the beach. We ate this and a Backpacker's Pantry meal that also served 2. We all thought it was delicious! It doesn't taste exactly like traditional teriyaki but it was fairly sweet with a decent amount of chicken in it. We ate right out of the pouch which is always a bonus - less pots to clean. The zip lock was very easy to reseal too. The directions were very accurate as well, no need to alter, in my opinion. I was very impressed with this and another Mountain House meal we had on this trip. I will definitely be adding them to our repertoire of MRE suppliers. ... show more
