    • Better than I anticipated, 1 year & still going strong!

I've had this phone for a little over a year now. I got it, and stupidly kept it in the same packet as my keys, as I've done with every normal smart phone... Well the inside screen is a little softer than a normal phone screen, and a key got into it and cracked the larger screen. Motorola, to their credit, actually replaced it under warranty. So my carelessness is what caused it, not any design flaw, just don't keep hard / pointy objects in the same pocket as it. The replacement I've had for a year now & I absolutely love it. I love being able to check things with the exterior screen and not having to open the phone. I've always had a case on it and it's been dropped many times both closed and open. When it's closed it's pretty bulletproof, I only worry about dropping it while it's open, but it's happened a few times and I'm using it to type this review, so no issues. I should specify that I am a power user, I work in IT, and regularly use it for testing Wi-Fi & getting photos for documentation purposes at work. As well as Google Chat, MS Teams & emails. It's very quick & responsive. As someone who's previously gotten budget phones, like the Moto G Power, this is my first high-end phone. With Motorola now promising up in 3 OS updates, I'm confident that it will last me more many years. Games run with virtually 0 lag. At one point I charged it under my CPAP, which leaked water on the charging port, it messed up the battery meter so now it only reads between 60 and 62% battery, but I get the full use of the battery. Even with frequent use, it almost never runs out of battery. Having the wireless charging capability is also a nice backup. Overall it's probably the best smartphone I've ever had and the easiest to use. If anything does happen to this one, I 1,000% will be buy another. A quick note on cases, many of them have spring loaded flaps to cover the hinge. If you're prone to fidgeting with it, the springs fail quickly and then it's just a floppy flap. I highly recommend the Cenmaso case if you get this phone as you can wirelessly charger through it, mount it to MagSafe car mounts, & it's very sleek. I'm honestly surprised at the quality & value for the money. My wife & friends thought it was a gimmick at first, but it's hard to illustrate just how convenient and useful the two screens are in different scenarios. And finally, I open & close it constantly, probably 30+ times a day, and the inside screen looks fine, no issues with the foldable screen or hinge. If you are on the fence about this one, you'll likely be very happy you got it. ... show more

    • Casual review of the moto razr

The phone is a good performer, coming from an iPhone 12 Pro Max and I plan to use this phone as my main for the next few years. I have mostly pros for the phone with some cons. The camera shows great quality, the con for it would be no ultra wide lens which I think should be standard with the telefoto lens. I think it was a dumb design choice but maybe it was their idea of making the plus model more “premium”. With that being said, as a casual photo enthusiast, the tele quality is great and zooms in A LOT. I like the options that are given in the app and even recording with folding the phone. Battery life is standard and the screens have no issue that I know of. It’s been a few months since I’ve got it and I now have a slight line in the middle where the screen bends that I can feel with my fingernail. I definitely love the flipping feature and use the phone many times while it’s closed. Moto has integrated the screen well but there are parts that can improve, who knows if it depends on the app developers themselves. A couple of cons: Bluetooth. It’s definitely something that gets dropped frequently but I’m a wired guy for the most part so it doesn’t affect the quality too much for me. However if you do get the phone, double check that it works with your devices consistently. The second is probably a software issue. There are times when I want to wake up the phone and the screen stays black, and I can even feel the unlock with the fingerprint sensor! The workaround with this is to lock it again and either: wake the phone up then use the sensor again, or open up the phone and unlock it from there , but even THAT sometimes causes just the background to appear. It becomes a nuisance at times but I’m always able to get through it. I think this is definitely a phone to get on discount, I got it for about $600 with insurance as flips are going to have issues for sure. I hope this review helps get a point across. I wanted a new phone that had 5g, always purchased samsung but this motorola razor i saw used sold by amazon, The razor plus was already a great price new 2024 model but this used caught my eye, The original box was torn from a sticker removed as it was probly returned unused, yes it looked perfect and setup was perfect. updated to android 15 on setup. the outer screen is so neat, weather emails and works like the main screen i guess. I figure i always want another phone in a few years so heck ill give this a try, 256gb and 12gb ram, fast touch screen response. great for movies with the extra wide screen. I love unlocked phones and it is easy to use. Its great for me, some will like it, some will not. ... show more
