I absolutely LOVE this phone! It does everything a busy mom needs and looks great at the same time. The touch screen operates well even though folded. I ordered an inexpensive clear case to show off the metalic color (it looks like burnished copper) and made my screen background a coordinating art deco pattern. So when closed, my phone looks like a vintage compact! Plus, no more scratched screens or pocket dials. The processor is fast, software up to date, and the camera view on the outside screen amazed my family. When folded, it fits in my back jeans pocket so I can have it on me without a purse or huge cargo pants just like the original Razr phones. I've had it less than a month, so not sure about value for the price yet, but I will say it is the most I have EVER paid for a cell phone. If it lasts 3 years, I'll consider it a win. ... show more

    • External display becomes unresponsive frequently
It's a lovely piece of hardware, and the external screen is more useful than I imagined... when it works. Which is not all that often. Tap-to-wake stops working on the external display just about every day. Fortunately, reboot does fix it, so I end up rebooting the phone very often, which is a pain. The crease on the folding display doesn't bother me, but the surface doesn't really feel like glass, so it's generally not quite as nice to use a phone with glass display. Also, lock screen on Android is supposed to allow the option to display full notification content on the lock screen, so you can glance at notifications without unlocking. This phone won't do that. Instead, it just shows a little pill at the bottom with the notification types, and you have to tap that to see the actual notifications. This has a configuration setting, but the setting doesn't seem to do anything -- it's always just a pill, not a full notification bar. Overall, nice idea, but way too many problems to make a folding phone worthwhile. I'll be selling it and getting a Pixel. ... show more

The Motorola Razr Plus 2025 is, in my opinion, the absolute best flip phone for 2025! Great specs, great camera and great performance for my needs. I have long been a fan and user of Motorola phones for the quality and value they represent. In the past few years a migrated to Samsung and Google phones, however. This year I wanted to change to a flip form factor and, after doing my due diligence and research, decided on the Motorola Razr Plus 2025! The media could not be loaded. Never had a razor, but love Android phones. Opened up the phone box fresh and brand new. I broke the fancy seal on the box myself. This lets me know that the phone was new and factory fresh. Easy to set up and transfer apps and accounts. My old phone talked to my new phone on how to do this very easily and quickly. I had set up in less than 30 mins. My SIM card hasn’t been ported to the phone. For right now, it’s connected to my home wifi. I still have some functionality like checking email. The external screen is my favorite way to use it. The phone is really long when opened. The phone has games. I have missed this feature. Love the nostalgia of this feature. I like that, folded up, it fits in the palm of my hand. I was able to take pictures and video on the external screen. I used to have a phone that was this shape when folded up back in the day. I am not a fan of how it gets hot when charging. I don’t like that you only get a cable. You have to get a wall charger. I was able to sit it on a charger that is wireless. It charges very slowly, very slowly. Plugging it in to charge is a must. I’m not very confident in the battery life either. Still testing that. I get that I play music and a video, but that’s only for an hour. Love the color, that was part of the appeal. It has 256GB, my current phone has this, so that’s okay. The videos and music quality are very good. I was able to Bluetooth connect my Sony headphones with no problems. I could see this as an entertainment phone. I don’t think I would be making calls on it. It's just so long on opening up. You would need to set up a Motorola account at some point to get extra phone features. I was able to make it look and sound the way I want without an account so far. The phone does show you how to use it, depending on what you want it to do. I was able to use the AI feature, if only for a moment, based on the phone asking me to try the feature. One big plus is you can make the words and the app sizes big. This is soo nice. I wear glasses and even if I don’t, I can now see my screen and the stuff on it more clearly. So visual accessibility is very good. The idea of an external screen is really great and because it's closed up, I don’t really think about the main phone screen. Got to find a phone case for it though.
