This is a great budget phone. I ordered it to work with Tello (which is a T-Mobile MVNO). The phone is fully unlocked and connected to Tello without issue. I first used an e-SIM. The Tello e-SIM installed using the QR code and functions perfectly. I then used a physical Tello SIM for a second line. That SIM installed and activated without issue as well. Both getting a 5G connection. Everything with the phone is working perfectly (WiFi, 5G/4G, Bluetooth, speakerphone, etc). Battery life is excellent. I did have to do a lot of security updates to get the phone current from the base install of Android 14. Then, just today (8/7/2025) it received the Android 15 update. Which is great! I can tell the phone was originally used with Visible (by Verizon). Physically the phone is in very good condition. It has a few extremely minor scratches on the screen but that's it. Other than that it looks brand new. The scratches are only visible when you clean the screen with something like an alcohol wipe and with the light hitting at just the right angle. I installed a tempered glass screen protector and the tiny scratches are completely hidden. Overall a great phone at a great price that works with all the major carriers.     • The Bloatware In It Acts Like Malware
This phone would have gotten a solid 4 or 5 stars due to the price and the amount of storage you get from it, also size and performance. However after a year of use, I truthfully have to say that the Glance bloatware app that comes pre-installed on the phone is able to plummet it down to a 1 star in all honesty. It sucks that all these companies try to act like their partnerships add any shred of positive experience when in reality they just pocket the money and make the phone experience too busy. I was able to immobilize the Glance app for about a year but recently it has become active again and I can't disable it no matter how much I uninstall updates, force stop it, and actually hit disable in the system app settings. I've tried a mixture of those things to no avail. While I recognize the app only opens if you swipe it open on the lockscreen, it is still a huge annoyance that you are forced to have it. It constantly opens itself if your lockscreen turns on and you touch it slightly and didn't intend to open Glance. I am Never EVER getting a Motorola again, I'm definitely going to be spending extra on de-Googled phones now that Samsung and Motorola pretty much act like malware from the day you unbox them.     • This has the features that SHOULD be standard!
Motorola deserves a huge amount of credit for manufacturing a modern smartphone with a 3.5mm headphone jack, expandable storage by Micro SD, and most importantly, an unlockable bootloader. These features should be standard across the board, but the flagship phones from most manufacturers neglect to include these things. I love the 120hz display and the 720p resolution doesn't bother me. The battery life is impressive as well. This is an extremely good product for the low price. The phone isn't very durable, though, and mine got a crack in its screen after falling out of my pocket a single time. Maybe that should be expected at the price point of this phone, but it was still disappointing. Definely buy a case and screen protector with this. As is par for the course with most smartphones, Motorola's stock version of Android isn't very good, but that shouldn't be held against them when the unlockable bootloader allows you to flash a custom ROM of your choice. I've had a great time experimenting with different versions of Android, (Lineage OS, /e/,) though technical problems which might not be Motorola's fault have forced me back to the stock OS to retain all of the device's crucial functionality. ... show more

I've never ordered an Amazon renewed cellphone before and was a little nervous about the condition of the phone I would get. But I am hard on cellphones, my fine motor control has been lost to medical issues and I just can't justify paying full.price for phones that I'm likely to break. The condition was as described and it works beautifully! I got it a silicone enclosed case too but I have no illusions that it will save it when I undoubtedly toss it on the asphalt one to many times. Lost a Verizon cell phone so ordered a replacement from Kanga and it arrived a day earlier than expected, a beautiful-looking phone in a new box with charger included. Promptly made appointment at local Verizon company store to get assistance with activation - the phone they sent was fully locked and unable to be activated. They were apologetic and asked how they could make it right - I said just overnight me an UNlocked exact same model as this useless locked one and I'll be happy. NOPE - they wanted me to mail the useless locked one back to them with supplied label, and only then would they ship another one out to me - with a process that would take at minimum 4 days. No thank you, remember I'm without any means of communication due to losing my phone! So I spent a little more and bought this exact model brand new from Best Buy. I gave two stars because the useless locked model was in great condition, and they did give me a full refund - but would not buy from this seller again. ... show more
