    • Renewed phones that are Demo phones are a security risk.....
The product works but was sold as "Renewed". Problem is this is a Demo phone that is never supposed to be sold whether Renewed, Reconditioned, or otherwise without a disclaimer that it is, in fact, a Demo phone. Many of you may find yourself in the same situation. The best course of action is if you want to take the chance immediately call Motorola and have them check the IMEI as it will clearly tell them if it is a Demo phone. If it is, return the phone. Otherwise I would avoid all business with this company or any other company that purports to "renew" phones. The problem is that whoever the carrier is will still will have access to that phone to install whatever they want on the phone without your express permission because, legally, it's still theirs. Was awakened in the middle of the night by a tone and found 9 items that existed under a T-Mobile icon, six of which were app recommendations and three installed apps, one of which was Pinterest.     • This has the features that SHOULD be standard!
Motorola deserves a huge amount of credit for manufacturing a modern smartphone with a 3.5mm headphone jack, expandable storage by Micro SD, and most importantly, an unlockable bootloader. These features should be standard across the board, but the flagship phones from most manufacturers neglect to include these things. I love the 120hz display and the 720p resolution doesn't bother me. The battery life is impressive as well. This is an extremely good product for the low price. The phone isn't very durable, though, and mine got a crack in its screen after falling out of my pocket a single time. Maybe that should be expected at the price point of this phone, but it was still disappointing. Definely buy a case and screen protector with this. As is par for the course with most smartphones, Motorola's stock version of Android isn't very good, but that shouldn't be held against them when the unlockable bootloader allows you to flash a custom ROM of your choice. I've had a great time experimenting with different versions of Android, (Lineage OS, /e/,) though technical problems which might not be Motorola's fault have forced me back to the stock OS to retain all of the device's crucial functionality. ... show more
