We needed an upgraded phone and found this Motorola G 5G here on Amazon in the Motorola Store. Our first purchase never came. We ordered on May 24, 2024 and on July 1, 2024 I called customer support, wondering what was taking so long. The item page said it was available and they had 4 in stock. Go figure... I ended up canceling that order, as per the service agent suggested and ordered another. The same thing happened, the company kept telling me it was in process but kept extending the arrival date. What the heck? So after 2 weeks of this, I canceled that second order. I found a refurbished one, exactly like the first one, and tried that. I have it in my hands and it is working perfectly. Too bad it took so long and the Motorola Store lost out on that sale. I must say I was beginning to feel discriminated against even though there could be no reason. But why did they sell a product they said was in stock and then not ship it to me? I'll never know, but I have my phone now, and I am very happy with it. This smartphone was advertised as unlocked, which was why I purchased it. I just went to use it and it was indeed locked to cricket. As it had $50 left on it's original contract, it cost me $90 to unlock ($30 to unlock + $50 left on contract).

Good price for a "renewed" item. Accepted my SIM card and I was able to transfer my data over with no problems from my LGV20. I will miss a replaceable battery, but this battery seems to be doing fine even with heavy usage. Just took a couple of days to get used to the new layout.

Decent low / mid range phone. I have bought several of these for my dad who has a habit of breaking and loosing his phones. At this price it replacing it doesn't sting as much as a thousand dollar flagship. He's 72 so he doesn't care about or even know about the newest features available in smartphones. I always setup the phone for him and and they seem like an adequate device. Motorola's UI is ugly and hard to navigate but it gets the job done. ... show more

This android phone was perfect exactly what I needed the right size I like the color and I like the shape. It’s easy to hold in my hands when I’m using it. If you want an inexpensive phone, this is the one to buy. I think you get a lot for your money and it was fast shipping. it does have a camera you can adjust the brightness and the Wi-Fi works good. Came unlocked but was a ATT phone which worried me at first. Went through the setup process and transferred my files from my original Mint (T-mobile) phone. Took 1+ hour but was successful and the Moto 5 work great. New fingerprint reader was a bit different from my old phone but I am used to it now. All my pics made it too. Very pleased.
