Though the sizing ran a bit small at the beginning (even my 2X was a bit snug for a few months) I can say that this helmet saved my life. I was thrown off my motorcycle going around a corner at around 50-55mph. The witnesses said I flew about 35-40ft only to land on my head and shoulder. I hit so hard the modular portion of the helmet broke on one side. I did/do have a concussion but I know if I was wearing my skull cap helmet I don't think I would have been as lucky... Going to order another one of these as soon as I rebuild my bike (it would be awesome if the company would send another out of good faith "hint hint")

I challenge you to find a more feature-filled helmet for the money. I wish you a lot of luck in doing it. So far I have had this helmet on (the matte black variety) for over 2,300 miles of riding, so I have a good idea of how it performs. I will provide both the bad and the good, with the list of bad first because it is extremely short. The Bad: The optics fog up easily. Be prepared to crack the visor slightly at stop lights to allow for a little air to keep it fog-free. Closing the air vents does not completely prevent air from entering the helmet. This can lead to a cold head in the late fall. The chin curtain could be slightly lower to assist on colder days. The Good: The drop-down sun visor. It operates smoothly. It is a perfect tint level so as to not interfere with your vision. It stays put when it needs to. The optics are clear, even though as mentioned in the bad that they fog easily. Surface is easy to clean with a soft microfiber towel. The vents provide plenty of air, and are not overly noisy even 50+ mph. The fit and finish are excellent. Visor closes with a click and opens easily. Surface is smooth has a quality appearance and feel. The inside liner is snug but does not smash your face (as long as you size correctly). The liner snaps in place and is easy to remove and re-insert. It is very comfortable, even on rides exceeding an hour or more. I can't say enough about this helmet. Go search on helmets with this same feature set, especially a sun-visor that either drops down or is integrated into the face shield, and you will see helmets 3-4, and even 5 times more expensive than this one. At 3.7 pounds, even helmets in the $350-400 range aren't any lighter. This is a DOT-rated helmet. Always make sure whatever you buy is DOT approved and has that certification on the inside liner; not just an external sticker. This is a great buy and I will buy again from Yema. Here's hoping they provide more designs and maybe some fog-free upgrades.

EDITED EDITED: YEMA is sending a replacement buckle. Their website is still not working, but Amazon got me in contact with them. EDITED: The chin strap buckle is rusting away and the YEMA website is not working. Go up a size. Both my wife and myself measured one size smaller than we bought because of the other reviews - those were spot on, and thank you! The visor screws DO come loose after just a couple of rides. Clear nail polish seems to have done the trick on this one, though... you could go with blue threadlock, but that could be overkill for this situation... you might try enamel paint, too, as I have had success with that in the past (none on hand at the moment). Yes, the helmet is heavier than more expensive others, but it only hurts when I don't see the pothole coming. Lastly, my wife cannot operate the sun visor as it is extremely tight - I have to do it for her, so she leaves it down while we ride during the day as it is difficult for me to reach back while we are riding to flip it up and down.
