I challenge you to find a more feature-filled helmet for the money. I wish you a lot of luck in doing it. So far I have had this helmet on (the matte black variety) for over 2,300 miles of riding, so I have a good idea of how it performs. I will provide both the bad and the good, with the list of bad first because it is extremely short. The Bad: The optics fog up easily. Be prepared to crack the visor slightly at stop lights to allow for a little air to keep it fog-free. Closing the air vents does not completely prevent air from entering the helmet. This can lead to a cold head in the late fall. The chin curtain could be slightly lower to assist on colder days. The Good: The drop-down sun visor. It operates smoothly. It is a perfect tint level so as to not interfere with your vision. It stays put when it needs to. The optics are clear, even though as mentioned in the bad that they fog easily. Surface is easy to clean with a soft microfiber towel. The vents provide plenty of air, and are not overly noisy even 50+ mph. The fit and finish are excellent. Visor closes with a click and opens easily. Surface is smooth has a quality appearance and feel. The inside liner is snug but does not smash your face (as long as you size correctly). The liner snaps in place and is easy to remove and re-insert. It is very comfortable, even on rides exceeding an hour or more. I can't say enough about this helmet. Go search on helmets with this same feature set, especially a sun-visor that either drops down or is integrated into the face shield, and you will see helmets 3-4, and even 5 times more expensive than this one. At 3.7 pounds, even helmets in the $350-400 range aren't any lighter. This is a DOT-rated helmet. Always make sure whatever you buy is DOT approved and has that certification on the inside liner; not just an external sticker. This is a great buy and I will buy again from Yema. Here's hoping they provide more designs and maybe some fog-free upgrades. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I've had the helmet for a bit over a month now & have been using it & so far so good. The helmet fits good, isn't too noisy at highway speeds, Also it has the quick release chin strap which I prefer compared to that O-ring version that many other helmets have which I do not like. The lever on the left side of the helmet that flips the visor up & down is placed a little bit higher on the helmet that another modular helmet I had before but its taking time to get used to & the button to lift up the modular part is a bit hard to push with the chin strap on but I'm adjusting to it. when the tinted visor is down it can touch the bridge of my nose but I just make a slight adjustment on the helmet but overall the view out of the helmet with the tinted visor up or down is good. the helmet feels sturdy overall. Inside the helmet are 2 spots where you can put in bluetooth speakers for connectivity which I did without problems. The inside padding comes out very easily & put back in. I don't know about the scratch resistence seeing I have not dropped the helmet & I can't speak on the protection level because that would mean I took a fall to test that which I hope to avoid. overall 4 stars, I would have given it 5 but i do notice when the clear shield is down that it does fog up on the inside wtith just basic breathing & its not like I am riding when there is condensation outside where you'd see that happening more profoundly ... show more

Title; however, you're GONNA want to clean/spray this thing out after *every* use unless you brush your teeth immediately before getting into it or wear a layer under it. Also, the optics do fog pretty easily but as long as you can get wind in your favor and/or 30 mph, you're fine. If you can't do that, you likely don't need the full-face aspect anyway, so not a huge deal. ... show more

Comfortable, good snug fit, wide sight range, hinges are solid and reasonably durable, can be airy and noisy if not fully closed as well as when the face cover is up. Vents and seal under the chin make a nice positive air pressure movement through the helmet so it doesn't feel like your suffocating even at lower speeds, Otherwise decent product for the price. ... show more

This is my second YEMA helmet, the modular feature is great. The fit is perfect doesn’t squish my face too much and the drop down sunglasses are a big plus. I ordered the same size in this one as my non-modular helmet and it fits perfectly. Great helmet for the price.

EDITED EDITED: YEMA is sending a replacement buckle. Their website is still not working, but Amazon got me in contact with them. EDITED: The chin strap buckle is rusting away and the YEMA website is not working. Go up a size. Both my wife and myself measured one size smaller than we bought because of the other reviews - those were spot on, and thank you! The visor screws DO come loose after just a couple of rides. Clear nail polish seems to have done the trick on this one, though... you could go with blue threadlock, but that could be overkill for this situation... you might try enamel paint, too, as I have had success with that in the past (none on hand at the moment). Yes, the helmet is heavier than more expensive others, but it only hurts when I don't see the pothole coming. Lastly, my wife cannot operate the sun visor as it is extremely tight - I have to do it for her, so she leaves it down while we ride during the day as it is difficult for me to reach back while we are riding to flip it up and down. ... show more
