So, don't laugh at me, but I bought this jacket for my daily commute on my E-scooter, not a motorcycle. But my scooter goes a top speed of 25 mph which is still serious business if something were to go wrong. I've already fallen a few times going that speed or slower and it messed me up pretty good, so having something like this with impact cushions in the shoulders, back, and elbows is much appreciated in the event of another fall, not to mention the durable material capable of withstanding some road rash... unlike my other casual jackets or just a shirt. Most importantly I got this jacket not only to protect me in the event of a fall, but for winter riding. Where I'm from the weather can easily dip down well into the negative temps, but I'd much rather not be wearing a typical winter coat if I can help it, so I figured maybe a motorcycle specific jacket would do the trick. Unfortunately, I can't test that right now since we're only just starting the summer, but I plan to come back once winter rolls around to update my review. What I can say is it feels very warm with the insert in place! Seems it will block the wind as I would expect a motorcycle jacket to do, and all the strategically placed pockets might just come in handy. Not yet sure what I'll do with all the hooks and loops on the front, but I think the loops will be a good place to hang my body cam. I got an XL because all my jackets and shirts are XL and that's usually right around where I need to be in size, sometimes I teeter in the L size, but I usually just play it safe in XL. Well... this jacket has me feeling like maybe I should've opted for a size up. Not because I don't fit it, but because I JUST fit it. Usually, an XL jacket leaves enough room for me to put another jacket underneath it if I need the extra warmth, but not this one. So, I really hope that included insert serves me well when the time comes. I like that the cuffs can be rolled tighter around the wrists to not only prevent a draft from climbing your arm but allowing me to put my heated gloves over my sleeves with ease.

I'm very impressed with the looks and quality of this jacket. It' feels very durable and feels like it would definitely protect from scrapes if having a motorcycle accident. The zippers work smoothly. It has multiple pockets. I'm 6' 1", 160 lbs and I ordered a Medium and it fits very nicely. If I have my arms extended out like holding on to the handlebars of a bike, the sleeves ride up on my wrists a bit, so I wish they were a little longer, but I wouldn't want to go up to a Large due to the whole jacket not fitting as well. This is a slim fit jacket, so don't expect to fit it on over top of a lot of other bulky clothes like a sweatshirt, but it fits nicely over a t shirt, and would even probably work over a flannel shirt. Of course, you could order a larger size and then fit more clothes under it. The liner zips out of the jacket very easily. This helps it not feel so tight and allows for more options for clothing under the jacket. The liner actually goes into the sleeves as well, which isn't always the case with other jackets that have a zip-out liner. This would help keep the arms warm while riding in colder weather.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened this up. First impression was how well the jacket felt. Materials feel really nice and high quality. The fit was spot on too. It comes with inserts separate from the jacket so you can fit them as you feel needed. A big plus for me is the zip in liner. Together, the jacket is thick and has some weight to it. But when you zip it out it lightens quite a bit and makes a great feel for warmer weather. Overall, I’m very happy with the quality of the jacket, it’s fit, and functionality. It looks good too.
