  • A Really Great Bargain - Great MC Jacket
Size: X-Large Color: Red
March 25, 2026: (Second Impressions) After 10 days: Still impressed! I've used this jacket riding from 45° to 70° F. It has met or exceeded all of my expectationsvand anticipation of use as noted below. I ride a Honda Pacific Coast 800, that has great wind protection. If you ride a naked bike bike your experience will be different. I've ridden at 45° with it's inner liner, and a Columbia fleece. I've also ridden with a down vest, and just the liner, and the jacket alone. Talk about adaptability with protection. Today it was 72° F, and I rode with just the jacket and a short sleeve cotton shirt. With the sleeves more open, the vents at the wrist open, a little bit unzipped from the neck, and the waist not cinched tight, I had great air flow and was totally comfortable. I will swap this out with my ventilated jacket as soon as normal temperatures are 70° and above. But this gives me such a range of temperatures before that, and I think it would be comfortable even when it's hotter. For me, the XL worked well because I could add the under layers for colder temperatures, but I've learned that having it slightly larger gave better ventilation at 72°. Read more for my first impressions and some fitment suggestions. My only caveat about this is I wish it had inside pocket for a cell phone. My cell phone fits in the outside pockets, but that is less than ideal primarily because on a trip I would like better access. I'm an "attention fanatic" meaning I don't know anything on my handlebars to distract me because that can be quite literally fatal. The only time I've ever used my cell phone on a trip is using Bluetooth with it in my pocket. March 15, 2026 My FIRST IMPRESSIONS of this jacket is that it is quite impressive. I read all the reviews and bought an extra large rather than large, if you look at the SIZING CHART, you will see that I probably would not have been happy with a large, definitely not a medium. I think XL was a good choice. I wear a 42 long suit coat, I'm 6' foot tall and 175 lb, and gaining. I'll include detailed information and accompanying pictures which I think will inform you very well about the jacket. At $79.99 this is what we used to call a 'steal.' Every component of it looks extremely well made, good quality zippers, hefty snaps, good stitching and good material. I don't have any problem with the back pad, it's a fairly thin dense foam, but the jacket itself would really protect from abrasion first. With the pads and the liner it weighs just under 4 lb total. The ELBOW AND SHOULDER pads are substantial and fit well in the zippered pockets made for them. Also the ZIPPER LINING is not heavyweight, which is exactly what I wanted. You'll see that I use a fleece Columbia long sleeve jacket for my innermost layer, the type of fleece you might wear around the house in the winter if you're a little chilly and like to wear a T-shirt. Based on past experience, and I'll updated when I have more information from a ride, this would be fine at at least 50°and likely even at 45° F. Prior I was wearing a lightweight mesh ventilated padded motorcycle jacket with the Colombia liner, and a heavier overcoat. This will do really great for me because in Minnesota you may start Riding at 45° in the morning and it could be 60° or warmer in the afternoon. Even if you live in a more TEMPERATE CLIMATE, on a trip you may encounter variation like that because of altitude. I assume most people are like me and don't ride at all below 35° F, unless on a trip. I expect the jacket itself will be just fine over a t-shirt at 70°. So this will really give me all the options I need. The COLOR is definitely RED, and there is a picture that shows it side by side to my Honda "Victory Red" color motorcycle. It's not a blood deep red, but I think it will add great visibility, the two will compliment each other and of course it has a reflective strip in the back and front. The bottom sides have VELCRO CLOSURES to tighten up and prevent wind coming up from the bottom. The sleeve cuffs have similar closures that cinch them down properly. The waist and wrist enclosures also have zippered sections about 5 in long to open them up a few inches. I expect this will help with ventilation in hot weather. This is really a STELLAR QUALITY PRODUCT that I wish I had ever had eight or nine years ago when I rode cross country, with my primary 'gear' being a Sam's Club jacket. I never planned to be sliding down the highway on my elbows and shoulders and back, knees either? And I didn't. But I'm getting older so if that happened it is going to be a problem, one I still don't plan to experience, but this jacket will help a whole lot, and NO the jacket won't be mentioned in my obituary if that does happen. Motorcycle Humor. And, thank you for your time reading my review. I had fun writing it. 🏍️ ... show more

  • Great Quality and protection.
Size: X-Large Color: Gray
I ride a Yamaha Super Ténéré and I’ve been very impressed with this jacket for the price. The material feels durable and well made, especially considering the cost. The shoulder and elbow armor are thick and provide solid protection, while still being flexible and comfortable to wear. The back protector is fairly thin, but it’s still better than having no protection at all. For sizing reference, I’m 6’3” and 190 lbs. I normally wear a size Large in shirts and jackets, but after reading other reviews, I decided to order an XL. I’m glad I did because the fit is perfect. I’ve tried on some of the premium motorcycle jackets that cost $500 or more, and honestly, I feel this jacket offers very similar protection for a fraction of the price. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this purchase and would definitely buy this jacket again. ... show more

  • Great styling and cold-weather warmth—but completely lacks ventilation
Size: Large Color: Brown
This is a jacket I really wanted to keep and like. Right out of the box, the styling looks great. I was also initially impressed by the shoulder and elbow armor, which felt much more substantial than the cheap inserts that came with two other budget jackets I tried. However, you will still want to 100% replace the factory back protector right away, as it is just a basic foam pad with zero actual safety certification. For sizing reference, I am 5'10", 210 lbs, with a 44" chest, and the XL size fit me perfectly. My main concern with this jacket is the complete lack of ventilation. Testing it during the cooler spring months here in PA, it felt plenty warm with the thermal liner installed. However, because it doesn't feature any zippered vents, I worried it would quickly turn into an oven as the weather started warming up. I ultimately chose the HWK Scorpion jacket over this one for cooler weather because the HWK offers vent options to stretch its use into mid-range temperatures. For the hotter summer months, I ended up buying a dedicated BYKR mesh jacket anyway. If this Borleni jacket had built-in vents, I'm pretty sure it would have been my top choice. If you are specifically looking for a sharp-looking riding jacket to use exclusively during the cooler and colder months, this is a highly viable and comfortable option. I would just suggest upgrading the armor—especially that back pad—to a legitimate CE Level 1 or 2 protector from RevZilla for $70-$90 to ensure you are actually protected. ... show more

Last Update 1 year 5 months later👇 Let me start by saying this is my wife's account so this review is by a man and now the review The jacket has exceeded all my expectations it survived it's first winter season here in Florida I wore it with a hoodie sweatshirt underneath with the provided liner that came with the jacket kept my very comfortable and warm cruising around the city at 45mph with the occasional 55mph but once the weather dropped to around 30 degrees Fahrenheit I had to remove the hoodie sweatshirt and add a heated vest instead only because of the wind chill I know that's not freezing but keep in mind I was born and raised down here in Florida and I work night shift so I tend to get cold easily but I rode all winter every day the jacket kept me very comfortable and warm and now the test for summer in the direct sunlight with a temperature of 90 degrees Fahrenheit sitting in stop and go traffic so roughly around 100+ with liner out I was very comfortable and cool once up to speed I almost felt like adding the liner back to the jacket I could definitely feel the wind and it was chilly so yes I would absolutely 💯% say this is a great jacket for hot summer riding here in Florida so yes the jacket looks great still and all the buttons and zippers are doing great no rips or loose threading the jacket looks like it did the first time I put it on my only real complaint is not be able to machine wash I hate hand washing buy anyway if you made it this far thank you for taking the time to read this paragraph of horrible grammar ride safe keep it on two wheels and yes buy the jacket First review.....👇 The jacket looks even more badass in person very comfortable the color is amazing the buttons seem very strong the zippers seem very strong the armor pockets have zipper enclosure very nice the back armor is inserted behind the insulated lining back armor fits very well and is held in a pocket the back armor feels great barely even know it’s back there the shoulder armor feels nice covers the whole shoulder top and side the elbow armor is perfectly placed it lined up with my elbows nicely the jacket wrists have Velcro straps to adjust the size of your wrists the jacket is very lightweight with no armor inserted once the armor is inserted it gains a little weight but nothing too crazy heavy I went with the level 2 orange upgrade armor I did not use the armor provided with the jacket the elbows and shoulder armor that come with the jacket are great looking seem very strong but the back armor that comes with the jacket is lacking I would definitely recommend upgrading the back armor at least all in all I’m extremely impressed with this jacket I will update after 1 year 5 foot 9 inches 170 pounds Waist size 32 Slim build dad bod belly I went with the size large Jack True to size with armor inserted Becomes a little baggy with armor out ... show more

  • This jacket really is a tremendous value and great quality
Size: X-Large Color: Black
This is a great jacket, especially at the price. It's heavyweight, waterproof, and pretty comfortable considering it's built like a tank. The zippers are very high quality. Every bit of this jacket is very high quality. I was surprised when I received it just how heavy it was. Assuming I keep my wheels on the road, this will last for years - and if I don't, it's a small price to pay for the protection it provides. The shoulders, back, and elbows have good protection. You have the option to upgrade the pads to increase protection, but since I'm on an e-bike that won't exceed 30 MPH, I think the protection it provides is more than sufficient. The fabric alone provides a great deal of protection. I would size up. I would normally take a large, but it was too small once I put the pads in. I exchanged it for an XL and it fits perfectly, especially since it has Velcro straps at the waist that allow you to sinch it tighter around that area and prevent any wind from getting in. This jacket really is a tremendous value and great quality. I can't recommend it enough. I do wish they had the matching pants. You CAN get matching pants (with a different brand name, but obviously the same manufacturer) through other sites - you know the ones that take a couple of weeks to get an order. I do wish they had them her under this brand name. But it doesn't take away from the excellence of this jacket. ... show more

  • The only jacket I'll need in Arizona
Size: Medium Color: Black
I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and weight of this jacket. Just got a new bike (at 74 yrs old) and this jacket gives me a lot of confidence. The slip-in and zip protectors are first quality, the fit is perfect, it looks great, has all the zips you need, and I'll be trying it out here in AZ, as soon as we drop under 100 degrees! Took out the lining first thing, getting ready to ride! 😁 ... show more

  • Beautiful comfy warm jacket.
Size: 3X-Large Color: Black
I normally wear xl shirts so I ordered the xxl jacket. To my surprise it was still too tight in the shoulders, I returned the xxl and got the 3xl. Perfect fit. It’s very good quality. Zippers and material are high quality. I live in Florida and it’s 99 outside. Tried it on on and was sweating. Should work great for mild Florida winters. I love IronJias products. I have gloves and motorcycle boot from them and love all their products so far. Get this jacket. ... show more

  • Good quality
Size: X-Large Color: Green
very nice jacket. it is a slight bit course on the inside if the insulation liner is removed. The liner zips in and out very well. it is also secured at the sleeve ends with snaps keeping the sleeve in place taking the jacket on and off. The adjustment straps on the elbow pads work well to keep the pads in place. I see no issues of defects with the stitching. I have had several compliments on the jacket. The color does not quite match the Suzuki 8TT in green but it is close. The only down side I see is there are not sipper air vents for the chest. ... show more
