I mainly picked this up because it looks cool. I already have maybe 10 regular full face helmets which I know protect me better than this one. The main helmet is pretty light, and it's black with a little bit of blue metallic flake. From a distance you do not see the flake at all. The facemask/goggles can be worn with or without the helmet, and I had plenty of room for my beard underneath the mask. Also the face mask does not get in the way of talking. The leather brim was just a tad too wide, causing it to buckle ever so slightly instead of the very smooth visor they show. The buttons still lined up and it does it's job. The quick release was very easy to use, I'm glad they included that. There was a little pad piece that goes on the rear adjustable head strap, you have to stick that on yourself. I have a feeling that will come off and get lost, they need better velcro tape stickers. Overall I like the look and feel, even though it won't protect me like a fancy name brand or full face helmet. I may keep this in a saddle bag because of how small a space I can fit it in. The facemask can be stored inside the helmet. Could be a decent compromise for when you have an unexpected passenger. My head size is right on the border of large and x large, and this fit fine.

This helmet falsely advertises DOT approval. There is no sticker or print on the back of the helmet. On every helmet approved by the US Department of Transportation, there is either a sticker or a print on the back stating it's approval. This has nothing except for a yellow and black "A". I ordered this hoping for a half helmet I could carry for a passenger. I wouldn't trust this, and in states where helmets are required, you could potentially get in some legal trouble if the cop knows the laws regarding protective equipment. The mask is cool, though.

Out of the box, this thing was not quite what I expected. The mask was neat, but flimsy, and didn't quite look right with the helmet. The leather bill was warped (and still is), and the lining on the inside leaves something to be desired. Having said, the helmet itself is comfy and fashionable. Maybe not MY style, but my daughter thinks she looks chic in it. The helmet offers little protection from severe crashes but will keep you from taking a hard bonk if you fall off your bike while it's parked. I keep it in my saddlebags for if I ever pick up hitchhikers like Jack Nicholson and don't want them looking too goofy.

To be honest, this helmet is a bit of a pain to adjust. You can access the headband adjustment while wearing it and the chin strap is nearly impossible to adjust while you have it on. But once you do get it adjusted it is very comfortable. To me the half helmets always have kind of a retro look and I like that. The mask is comfortable and easy to adjust, but the foam lining is a bit cheap and I don't expect that to last long. You tend to sweat a lot in this Florida heat it takes it's toll on such things.
