Motorcraft is the best for ford O.E. No arguments there, but be advised this did not come with seal ring as pictured. Did not notice until I started project and return date has passed. Now off to Vato-zone for a silly rubber ring that may or may not be compatible. Definitely get motor craft for ford oe. Don’t forget to check package like I did.

Kinda useless without the gasket THAT IS PICTURED WITH THE THERMOSTAT. This is absolutely top dollar for this part, and cannot be installed without another visit to the parts store. Will be returning and trusting the brick and mortar parts store. Very disappointed.

I installed the thermostat in a 1996 Ford Explorer 4.0L. My OBD reader reports 195F to 205F degrees while driving and the analog dashboard gauge is slightly below 1/2 scale. Although hotter than the description's rating, it's an acceptable temperature range for this vehicle. For reference, the previous thermostat was the same part number but operated at 180F under all load conditions. A lower temperature is less desirable than the warmer temperature range seen with the new replacement. The thermostat includes the rubber O-Ring gasket. I suggest applying a thin layer of automotive type High-Temp RTV silicone (gasket maker) on the inlet housing's mating surface.

Hello wanted to say that this is an excellent product for the original motorcraft or Ford Ranger Ford Explorer 4.0L V6 OHV engine. Comes complete with oring prevents the union lost the pipette body of the thermostat. Comes in its original bag with the part number that matches the manufacturer in the catalog of spare parts. Open to 92 º C temperature as the original factory next. Hola quería comentarles que este es un excelente producto original motorcraft para las Ford Explorer o Ford Ranger con motor 4.0L V6 OHV. Viene completo con el oring que evita perdidas en la unión de la pipeta del cuerpo del termostato. Viene en su bolsa original con el numero de pieza que coincide con el del fabricante en el catalogo de repuestos. Abra a 92º de temperatura como el que viene original de fabrica.
