Works like it was engineered! Expensive lesson learned. Initially bought an aftermarket remanufactered alternator from O'Reilly ' s and it worked fine but my F150 ECM hated it. Only put out 13.7 volts and kept popping p0620 diagnostic codes. Took back to O'Reilly 's only to be told the alternator tests perfect and I had to live with the battery light and constant alarms. Well.... that isn't the answer I wanted, so I purchased this Motorcraft from Amazon, installed it in 30 minutes and .......no more battery lights no more alarms or diagnostic codes. This alternator puts out 14.2 volts and works perfectly. Lesson learned. Words to the wise, only put OEM parts back in you vehicle. ... show more

Alternator keeps draining my brand-new battery if the truck sits for more than a day. the alternator is warm to the touch even when the truck is cold, Brand-new alternator lasted less than 3 months.

    • A New part came in.
After buying an aftermarket alt at the green colored store my battery alarm was still going off the alt was only producing 13.1 V. Once I swapped out the alt for this one it was showing 14.2 volts and no more battery alarm from the dash... lesson of the day. Only replace with Motorcraft parts...
