This is a fantastic lower cost phone. Unless you are looking for the phone with a huge zooming and ultra-low light capability (in which case you should be ready to spend at least $500 and up) this is the phone to own. I bought it for its eSimm capability only. However, it provided me with much more. 1. No need to have an intrusive Motorola account as opposed to Samsung phones. (I just bought Samsung A16 two weeks ago, and I had to have Samsung account in order to use and download apps from Google Store. Normally, you only need a Google account, but Samsung have recently put themselves in the middle.) 2. The battery is great with Moto G 5G. I took it for a almost a four weeks vacation in Europe and made over 5,000 pictures. Not once had I needed to use my power bank to charge it! My new Samsung A16 eats the battery much faster. For comparison, if you disable everything you do not need on both phones, which in my case is almost everything, the Moto G 5G (2024 unlocked) will go from 100% to 90% in three days of no usage. Samsung A16 (2025 unlocked, so a year newer) will go from 100% to 90% within four to five hours of no usage. - Remember, even with my constant taking of pictures (about 220 per day in average) and occasional usage of Google maps, transit apps to validated trains, metro, buses, streetcars, museums. etc) not a single day did Moto G 5G go from 100% to even 30%. -- Beyond impressive! 3. The feel and design are slick and the phone feels very nice and natural. 4. The display is awesome. I find it better than the Samsung A16 (which I plane to return soon due to Moto G 5G superiority for the price range.) 5. Its speed of apps opening and ease of manipulating settings is great. 6. eSimm(s) worked fantastic and actually I had to have two eSimms at the same time, and turning one on or off and the other one off and on was a pure child play. I rarely write reviews, and am more prone to write negative ones when something is really bad. But in this case, I had to share with potential users, who like myself want an up to $150 good phone, with eSimm capability, great batter life, excellent camera for normal light settings, great speed, and easy of usage. ... show more

Great phone for the price. I'm a Motorola fan and have been using my two sim Motorola One-the first one they made since 2013. Was getting slow but still a good phone. This model has plenty of built in memory for my needs and the 1tb memory card option is excellent since all the newer phones are deleting that option. It's nice to be able to have that memory card to be able to put in the computer or my android TV box and use the files on other things without having the hassle of trying to connect with other electronics. That being said, this model has an excellent built in mode where it will connect to your computer via usb without any problems or hassle and will transfer and receive files great! Haven't tried it on the android TV box I have yet. It is tough and with a screen protector almost bullet proof. Maybe soft foam nerf bullets. LOL The battery life is most excellent and doesn't seem to heat up very much what few times I've charged it. If you're looking for a great phone that is not in the thousand dollar price range that will do everything it claims to this is the one I'd recommend. Better hurry before they're all gone because the new models don't have the memory card option at all and I think that's a serious mistake on the manufacturers for doing that. I will probably use this phone for the next ten years or longer! Would recommend this phone model to my friends (if I had any) LOL ... show more

I am on the Mint (T-Mobile) network in the U.S. I bought this phone to replace a Motorola G from 2020m as a) Android updates were no longer coming to that model, and b) the charging port was loose. This phone has been excellent over the past few months. I appreciate the overcharge protection which will only allow the phone to charge to 80% in effort to protect the battery. The build quality is the same rock solid build I expect from Motorola. This is the fourth (or fifth) Motorola phone I've owned over the last 20 years. I've had some Samsung models as well but I keep coming back to Motorola for a few reasons. 1) They are in expensive: I can purchase a Motorola phone, case, and screen protector for under $250 an expect the device to last me at least 5 years. 2) While they do come with their pre-installed Moto apps, they do not have a bloat user interface which is battery draining, like Samsung. I am using this device with out a Google account and it's been great! I know that is not going to be the case for everyone but I think it is worth mentioning for anyone who is looking to "de-google". I was able to move my physical sim card from my previous device to this one, run through the setup, declining to use a Google account and I've never looked back. One feature that I really appreciate from Motorola is the ability to split the screen between two applications. I use this feature a lot with a BT keyboard and it is great for productivity. ... show more
