Features

  • Patented spherical cone extends polishing ability and effective surface area
  • Shines a wide range of automotive surfaces: billet, chrome, plastic, stainless steel, aluminum and more
  • Quick swap bit makes for easy installation
  • Use with your favorite Mothers metal polish

Description

PowerCone 360 takes our best-selling metal polishing tool and makes it even better. The new, patented spherical cone extends its polishing ability and effective surface area to not only polish those difficult-to-reach areas and broad, curved surfaces with ease, but now you can safely tackle those knuckle-busting, backside polishing jobs as well. This means smoother transitions, deeper polishing and less “grabbing” over sharp edges and wheel spokes. Combined with your favorite Mothers metal polish, it makes quick work of any uncoated, polishable metal finish, no matter how intricate the design. PowerCone 360 gives you a deep, mirror-like shine in less time.

abunda_amazon_reviews I'm blown away by this thing. My wheels were stained from brake dust. No amount of washing or scrubbing could clean them. I purchased this along with the Mothers Mag & Aluminum polish. 1 note, a little bit of the polish goes a long way and using a thin coat also helps with the clean up. I used the cone with my cordless DeWalt drill. I found that using low speed to apply the polish then speed it up to really rub it in works best.;;Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2018;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Excellent tool to use with the Mother's polish;;Dave;;/gp/customer-reviews/R14NWPOPW5VAQP/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B001MXTOKQ;;;Just keep in mind. With time they needed to be re-cleared, and I went online to see how to DIY, and discovered varying methods to accomplish the task using everything from toothpaste to sandpaper, often using copious quantities of flowing water and up to an hour per headlight lens using gradually finer abrasive grits. I found a video using the cone polishing tool with Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish as the clearing compound, and decided that was likely the best, as it was simple, fast, and there was no flowing water required. Other videos used the Mother's spherical PowerBall, which will clear the haze and yellowing, but the conical shape allows better access to the lens corners and gives better accuracy near its edges. Setup involved spraying window cleaner on the lens and the surrounding area to remove any dust and masking off the lens using blue painter's tape to avoid damaging the surrounding painted surface and chucking the tool in the drill motor. Total time from turning on the garage light to putting tools away was about an hour. Actual polishing time for each lens was about 10 minutes using a corded drill on medium speed. EASY PEASY!
