The cover looks great and protects my MacBook very well; the texture is almost frosted but still glossy to the touch. The only complaint I have with it is that the cover is a fingerprint magnet just as much as the actual laptop, so I find myself wiping it down with a microfiber cloth many times a day. Potentially, a frosted texture to the cover would prevent it. But when it's clean, it does look great. My previous clear Covers from this brand never showed fingerprints, so it is a bit disappointing
