I really enjoy playing this game a lot. Since I like souls-like games, this one is one of my top favorites. It was very challenging at the beginning because of the time it takes to dodge and attack, but over the time I got the hang of it. Also in the beginning can be a bit challenging because you’re starting off fresh, with no weapon upgrades and items to heal, but once you find the necessary items to upgrade your weapons, like the quenching acid, and collect enough healing items, like the weltcaps and roasted rats, the game gets much smoother and better. I would definitely recommend this game to any one who’s into souls-like games and wants to add a new game into their souls collection! ... show more

I ran into a guy playing guitar on a tree. He asked if I wanted to sit on the camp fire and drink with him. I said yes and the game ended.

    • Great Souls like Mini Game
This is an amazing game! It was similar to a mini dark souls. Got a few different areas all very unique and fun to explore with various different creatures. The harden feature is a new way to play making for a new game experience. Also, not super long so good for casual gamers.

    • Meh...ortal Souls
If you're looking for a Souls-like to keep you occupied while we wait for Elden Ring, keep looking. For starters, this thing is too short. I beat it in 6 hours, and that's including the time it took to figure out what my mission was and how to accomplish it (I found myself wandering aimlessly in the "hub" Fallgrim environment a lot because nearly every path looks the exact same). There are only 4 major environments, and 7 total bosses, which is especially disappointing for a genre known for its epic boss fights. It's too easy (yet at times incredibly frustrating), too bland. The graphics are okay but they certainly don't hold a candle to Demon's Souls, and some of the animations and particle effects look like something out of the PS2 era. The combat can be satisfying but too often feels clunky and imprecise. I can accept dying to an enemy in a tough but fair fight, but losing 20 minutes of progress to an enemy shooting me through a wall is a hard pill to swallow. The four "shells" were an interesting concept and the "hardening" sets this apart from other souls clones, but the novelty wears off and you quickly realize this is but a cheap imitation since 3 of those shells feel and look very similar and you only get 4 weapons to choose from (and you can only switch weapons in a handful of areas, though weirdly, not near the boss rooms). All in all, I'm glad I only paid $20 for this, though I wish I had saved that 20 for something else. ... show more

Font literally 1/100th screen from top to bottom. Impossible to read (even w perfect vision) & no way to increase size of text. Don't get how or why this is still a problem. Gave up after an hour of getting killed while trying to magnify.
