This is a nice kit for beginners, comes with all you need (with one exception) and instructions. The colors in the kit seem accurate and they're really pretty. Took me about two and a half hours to do all 10 fingers but I have never done this before and this was my very first time. I think they look good but we'll see what time does to them. The only thing the instructions tell you don't tell you is how thick or thin you should apply the gel. So I'm not sure if I did my nails too thick or too thin. All videos that I can find on YouTube don't really tell you that either, they just say don't make it too thick or too thin, what does that mean? I will say that if you want to do poly gel nails you should probably get a little electric nail file just because you can't really get into the curve of the nail on the underside without a little rounded drill. And trust me you'll want one if you accidentally make your nails too thick. I will also mention that the instructions don't tell you how to get them back off so that kind of sucks. You'll have to do your own research to discover how to do that. ... show more

Here are some photos of my nail journey. As you can see, I had some issues along the way πŸ˜… I almost gave up after a few tries, but after about 5 days of messing around I have a decent set. This is coming from someone who's very impatient and uncoordinated, so if I can do it you can do it lol Likes: - The kit has pretty much everything you need to get started, so no need to hunt around for extras... asside from maybe a nail dril or spare files. - Directions were clear enough and it doesn't take long to get the hang of this. - Everything came packaged pretty well and most of the packaging is reusable, which is always a plus. - The lamp was a lot bigger than I expected and actually pretty decent. (But, if you plan on mixing any colorants in your polgel like I did, I would definitely get a stronger lamp because the underside that adheres to your nail will probably stay goopy and snap off like mine did) Dislikes: - The "black-gold sequins" polygel looked absolutely nothing like advertised (check my 3rd and 4th pic) - The little containers of glitter were extremely hard to open, especially while wearing fake nails. All in all I am happy with this kit. It's a great value for the money, considering the amount of things you get, plus the quality of the tools and lamp. ... show more

Came packaged perfectly, I was pretty impressed for the price. Tubes are small but there's plenty for atleast 2 sets. VENTILATE ITS CHEMICALS it's like being in a nail salon and was expected smell wise but it is pretty strong. As a beginner it does take practice but is definitely straight forward in the directions I do recommend using the nail stencils instead of the press ons I thought it would be easier but they just don't stay down as easy for me. Still have to see how long they last on but definitely solid kit. Just keep em thin but opaque ... show more

Wow! I’m shocked at how quickly I was able to learn how to do these nails. The pictures I attached are my first attempt. The only down side is the opacity. I wish that there was more pigment in the gel, because it can become pretty transparent in the areas where it is the thinnest. It’s especially evident in the sparkle gels. You can see in my photos that there is a good portion that is clear on the edge of my thumbnail. I also had to redo my pointer finger because it was very clear where it’s attached to my actual nail, making it look like a bad attempt at a gradient. That being said, I think that now that I know how the gel behaves, my second set will be much better. ... show more

This is a very great STARTER kit For people who want to learn how to do their own nails. It provides Great practice! however!! the poly nail gel this set comes with is VERY poor quality. I have had to go over it with gel polish that I purchased on my own at sally's. Also be ready to get a better nail filer to shape your nails. The poly gel can get a little sloppy at times. ain the photos, the light purple nail is how the poly nail gel looks right after you finish application. My darker nails are the ones I painted over with my own gel polish from the store. Either way, it beats giving nail salons your money and you can physically control how much damage you want done to your real nails. (Instopped going to salons because my tech would file the crap down my real nails so they broke easily so that I would keep having to go back to her). ... show more
