This acrylic powder has a good consistency and texture and good quality, although I didn't like its color because it doesn't highlight the muted pink as described, it's more white than pink. Otherwise, it's a good product.

So this was my first time working with colored acrylic. So keep that in mind with my review. I’ve only ever used clear or pink acrylic powders. This acrylic no matter how little monomer is used, is runny and takes a bit to solidify. It’s also got more of a rubbery texture when dry than acrylic like (hard). Thinner sections can easily be bent and peeled off completely even with use of nail dehydrator and nail primer and proper nail prep. You have to really bulk it on and even then it’s still kind of rubbery when dried. Yesterday I did mine and my teenage daughters nails and had issues with chunks rolling up when filing and one of her nails completely came off when removing the nail form. Again, this was my first time working with anything other than basic clear or pink acrylic powders, so maybe part of it was as a result of that. But I’ve been doing mine and my daughters nails for years without having this issue before. My nails turned out kind of wonky looking because of the acrylic kind of rolling up when filing even though I had given them plenty enough time to dry and even tried using UV light to help dry/cure them.

As a cosmetologist i know better than to mix different brands of monomer and polymer. I used this with a different brand monomer and it worked quite well. I do my own nails so a repair once in awhile is fine. Container is a decent size and goes a long way.

I’ve been using this product for years and it’s always been my go-to because it set perfectly and gave me beautiful, consistent color. However, something seems to have changed with the formula. Almost a year ago, I received the wrong color in my order—it was a much darker pink than what I expected. I didn’t complain at the time and just set it aside, ordering a replacement. The replacement was the correct color, but when I tried using it, it wouldn’t form a bead or harden on my nails. Additionally, it caused my fingertips to feel sensitive for about a week, and the skin on my fingertips began to peel, which is still happening today. As a result, I reluctantly opened the darker pink one I had received earlier, and it behaved the same way—no proper bead formation and skin irritation. Now, I’m out of the reliable product I used to love, but I’m hesitant to order it again, as I’m unsure if the quality will be the same or if I’ll face the same issues as before. -Kathy J
