I'm always checking out reviews before buying anything, and I did with this product as well. But- I didn't follow instructions, and the results have been BRIGHT. I've used many other glosses/glazes I've bought from here and Walmart, but none that said to apply like true permanent hair color.. so- I added it in the shower like a conditioner and even used some copper gloss I already had (different brand) to try and balance out the pinky/purple hues that you get with the Bordeaux color (per the reviews)........ My hair has been so bright!!! I usually only wash my hair 3x a week bc it's curly, but I've washed it every day this week and it's still BRIGHT. My coworkers look at me like I'm a stoplight. My boss thinks I'm going thru a phase at 40. The color is pretty, but it's too much for me. If bright is what you're wanting- this is it baby!! It has staying power, too, which is what you want when putting a red color on your tresses since red fades so fast. Great product if bright and colorful is your goal.

I have used other color depositing conditioners before but wanted to try this brand. I wanted it to be auburn and initially was only going to buy the copper color, but many reviews said it was too orange so I decided to mix it with burgundy. 2 packages *barely* covered all of my hair. The color is almost perfect for what I was looking for. Likely my ratio should be 2 copper to 1 burgundy. I mixed the colors together and brushed it onto my dry hair. Left it in for 20 minutes. My "virgin" hair barely picked up the color but my previously highlighted ends sucked the color up. Color depositing is definitely better on lightened hair. Smell is nice but almost overwhelming. I love how soft and shiny it made my hair. That was a nice bonus! I'm not sure how long it will last or if it's cost effective to get the full size products, but I am satisfied with this color depositing mask.

My hair: damaged, coarse and bleached. I recently had my hair colored red after being a blonde since 2018. Since I moved to my new home last year, I noticed my hair was feeling harder and looking darker after just one or 2 washes after redoing my hair. I realized my water was the problem so I installed a new filter for my shower head. But my hair was too damaged so I decided to go red and give bleaching my hair a break. But we had to bleach the top, which had been a shadow root to even the entire red color all over my head. But wow that last time of bleaching left my hair soooo damaged and brittle. I’ve never experienced so much breakage. I had been using Olaplex for a few years so my hair was healthy before moving to my new home. So that’s the hair I started with before using this product—hard, brittle, breaking off easily, stiff and rough to the touch and extremely porous. In other words—terrible! My red hair washed out ridiculously fast! This product: after reading many reviews here and watching many YouTube videos, I decided to give this a try. I didn’t want to color my hair again since it’s only been a month since I went red. First, I can’t really afford that and second, I don’t want any more damage. After seeing the copper on most, it was way too much orange for my liking. I wanted a true copper/auburn, not orange. So I mixed (as someone here suggested) 2 copper packs with 1 cocoa color pack. I was so scared to see what would turn out. I mixed them very well in a bowl. I then even distributed it through my hair, piece by piece and combed it through . I left it on for about 10 minutes altogether. And woah! I was blown away by how soft and bouncy my hair felt after all the damaged I had recently experienced. I couldn’t believe it, but not only that, the color looks amazing! I have received so many compliments!! This color combo looks incredible! It’s exactly the color I was going for without the added damage. I haven’t washed it yet so I willl have to update with that information. I plan on purchasing the larger bottles since I absolutely plan on using this long term. What a great way for me to keep my color without causing damage to my hair. I’m so excited I found this and a thank you to the person who suggested mixing these two colors. It works like a charm!! I can’t recommend this enough. 👍🏼👍🏼

i 100% recommend if you’re wanting to test if you like the color on your hair. it washes out pretty much all of it when you shower though so it won’t last long but it’s a really great product and makes your hair feel really good!

I was pleasantly surprised how soft this product makes your hair feel after a wash. The smell is also nice! The only downfall is, my hair didn’t really turn the brassy color as advertised.

Doesn’t seem to damage hair but will deposit a lot if you have overworked previously bleached spots.. but moroccanoil products are awesome for hair , leaves hair soft, I follow up with smoothing and then after dry the lightweight oil for a fun style.. takes about 3-4 washes to come out so be prepared

I didn't take before and after photos, but I'm happy with the result. I have blonde hair and I wanted to give it a cool shade. The mask did a great job. After washing my hair three times, the color still lasts. The biggest negative for me is the size of the package and price. for thick long hair this is not enough, you need to take two packs. I applied the bulk of the mask to the top of my head, and smeared the rest with what was left. that is, the mask was not enough for all the hair. I bought purple shampoo of the same brand, for about the same price, the effect is the same, only one tube of shampoo is enough for several applications. The smell of the mask is just amazing. my hair smelled amazing for another three days after.
