We used a similar futon while traveling in Japan, and this one brings back that same comfort and convenience. The mattress is firm yet supportive, with great pressure relief—perfect for a good night’s sleep. The 100% urethane foam makes it breathable and much more comfortable than traditional cotton futons. It’s also foldable and portable, which makes it ideal for sleepovers or guests. When it arrived, it was compressed, but after a day or two (and a little help from some sunlight), it fully expanded. The craftsmanship is excellent, and knowing it’s made by skilled artisans in Japan gives me confidence in its durability. Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase. If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese futon that’s comfortable and space-saving, this is a great choice!

The best futon I've ever slept on. Just the right amount of firmness, softness, and support that I like. I'm about 125 lbs, 5' 6", I have been sleeping on this futon for about a week now and I'm having no problems sleeping at all. It's not thick, but it doesn't need to be, for the way this futon is made and crafted, gives the right amount of support and comfort where I need it, whether I sleep on my sides, stomach, or back. It's really impressive how well this futon is made, it's surprising really. Price wise, I would say it's worth what I paid for. I haven't need to put away in storage it yet, however, it's so lightweight (about 10lbs) and easy to roll up, I know that it's storage capacity wouldn't be an issue. Another thing is the futon didn't have any odd or bad smells upon unpacking it and letting it reform it's shape/fullness.

I’m seriously impressed with this Japanese floor futon! The quality is outstanding — it feels thick, supportive, and soft at the same time. You can tell it’s made in Japan by the craftsmanship and attention to detail. I’ve been sleeping on it for a week now, and my back feels so much better compared to my old mattress.
