Easy to use and works okay
I have been using this light for a few days now. The light itself was easy to put together and is still working. I do like that the light is curved so that it can cover my face and neck. I do not really see much of a difference in my skin yet, but it is indeed relaxing. I do love taking the time to sit and simply just relax. Hopefully with using this for longer, my skin will see more changes. ... show more

Quality, sturdy red light!
Color: Deep Gray
It's taken me some time to review this light since I ordered it. I already have red light wands, a belt, and a face mask. The wand is nice as part of a bedtime routine but requires my attention and physically moving the device around my face. My mask is great as it has holes for my eyes. In theory, I can read or watch tv while wearing it, but with the cord and position, it's just not very practical. Then too, it's stiff and doesn't fully conform to my face / neck shape, so there are areas that don't receive as much light. I wasn't exactly looking for another option, but when I saw this Morfone one, I was intrigued. I figured I could just plant myself in front of it, or position it over my lower back, stomach, legs, etc. and....wait for it...rest (something I don't get enough of! ) And that's exactly how it works. Out of the box, I was impressed with the weight of it as well as the materials. It doesn't feel cheap...it appears to be good quality. I would guess the price is higher than it was. I'm not one to read instructions, so I can say the controls are user-friendly and straightforward. The base is sturdy. It was simple to assemble. It's not tiny, but portable enough. The cord is fairly long, though whether it's long enough really depends on where you intend to use it and where you're outlets are. For anyone that needs additional length, grab an extension cord. Included with the light are green tinted glasses. I thought perhaps I could use the light and just close my eyes...no. The glasses are absolutely necessary. From researching my other devices, I'm aware that devices that offer 660nm red light with 850nm are desirable. 940nm infrared is a plus! I wish I had known of this device before ordering my other ones, as I feel this one can handle all that the others do. I'll keep the others for those times when my husband or kids want to utilize one while another is in use. I can bring the wand when I travel. As for effectiveness, I'm in the last year of my 40s. I eat healthy, organic meals though I'm prone to binging on sugar / desserts. I only get about 4.5 hrs of sleep 3/4 of the year. About 6 or 7 for the remaining quarter. I don't exercise. We have municipal and heavily chlorinated water. I do buy and apply really clean facial products. While i have some great habits, I also engage in others that probably ruin my skin. End result? Most people guess me to be in my mid 30s. Is the red light helping? I can't say for certain as I only use it occasionally when I have time. But it does seem to help maintain some of my skin's suppleness and condition. For me, it's worth having on hand for improving skin and helping with back issues, possibly weight loss, etc. I would definitely recommend this light! ... show more

Easy to use
Color: Deep Gray
This review is for "Morfone Red Light Therapy for Face and Body". This is a curved light panel with a weighted base with a plug-in power supply. The package contains the light panel, the metal base, a metal connection rod, a base screw, the DC power adapter, the in-line remote control, and a pair of sunglasses. The base is a flat sheet of heavy metal which has a thick rubbery coating on one side; the rubber side is the part that will face the surface on which you place the unit. To assemble, pass the base screw through the hole in the base, entering on the rubbery size so that the end of the screw poked up from the plain metal side. Place one end of the connection rod on top of the screw and twist the rod until securely tightened. There is another screw sticking out of the back of the light panel; position this screw over the top of the connection rod and gently rotate the panel to tighten the screw. Attach the cord on the back of the panel to the cord that contains the remote control, and plus the power supply cord into the remote control cord. The panel's resting position is facing the front and tilted slightly back. There is a wingnut on the back of the panel to tighten and loosen the ball joint so that the panel's position can be adjusted. The panel can swing from left to right and can be tilted further back, however it cannot face directly forward or down. The attached remote control has 4 buttons: Power - On/Off Timer - Can be set in 5 minute increments from 5-30 minutes Brightness - 5 levels from 0 to 4 Mode - 4 modes (bright, medium, dim, night) In addition to these options, you can switch between constant light and intermittent pulse using the power button. The instructions advise to position the light panel 4-6 away from the treatment area and to use the device 1-3 times per day, being sure to wear the safety glasses. This item was easy to assemble and seems sturdy and well-made. The plug-in power supply and in-line remote means that you don't have to worry about recharging batteries. I would prefer if the panel was more adjustable because it would be convenient to use in a downward-pointing position, but overall I'm fairly satisfied with this product. The price ($29.99 at time of purchase) is quite a good value for a red light therapy panel. ... show more

Bringing the Spa to My Living Room (And My Cat is Jealous)
My quest for eternal youth recently led me to this Morfone curved red light panel, and let me tell you, it has become the most popular resident in my house. It started because I was reaching a point where my bathroom mirror and I were having some serious disagreements about fine lines, and my lower back was holding a grudge from a weekend gardening marathon. Setting this up was a breeze, though my cat, Luna, immediately assumed I had purchased her a very high tech tanning bed. The first night I used it, I was perched on the sofa trying to target my stiff back while wearing the included safety goggles. My husband walked in, saw me glowing red in the dark like a secondary character from a sci-fi flick, and nearly dropped his glass of water. Once I explained I wasn't being abducted by aliens but was actually just tackling muscle tension with 940nm wavelengths, he wanted a turn. Now we have a nightly schedule, and the adjustable stand is sturdy enough that we aren't worried about it tipping over when we rotate it from face height down to knee level. The curved design is actually brilliant because it feels like the light wraps around your skin rather than just hitting a flat surface. I’ve noticed that my skin looks a bit more "awake" after a few weeks of consistent 15 minute sessions, and that pulsating 10Hz mode is surprisingly relaxing after a workout. One thing to keep in mind is that this isn't a heat lamp. If you are expecting the toasted sandwich experience, you’ll be disappointed. It stays cool to the touch, which is great for safety but can be confusing if you think "light" always equals "heat." The remote is super straightforward, which I appreciate because I usually have the goggles on and I’m flying blind. My only real gripe is the power cord length. While it says 2 meters, my living room layout makes it feel a bit short if I’m not sitting right next to an outlet. I ended up using an extension cord so I could actually reach my favorite lounge chair. Also, those goggles make you look absolutely ridiculous, but they are a must because those 120 LEDs are seriously bright. Overall, it’s a solid piece of kit that saves me from driving to a salon and paying fifty bucks for twenty minutes of light. It’s consistent, the iron base is heavy and high quality, and it’s become my favorite way to wind down before bed. Just be prepared for your family to make "Martian" jokes for the first week until they see how good your skin looks. ... show more

Fairly Well Designed And Constructed
Color: Deep Gray
Although I tend to remain skeptical about the efficacy of red light therapy, this product seemed to offer a flexible means to evaluate same. So, it was ordered. And, 4 days later, the panel kit arrived safe, sound and just as anticipated. Overall, the LED panel is 6" high and 14" wide. Its overall height, including the stand, is between 12" and 13". The actual LED field is approximately 5" by 13". There are five brightness levels: 0 through 4 with Level Four being extremely bright. The panel is capable of producing three wavelengths of light: 660nm, 850nm and 940nm. As a result, it has four modes: 660nm only, 660 and 850 combined, 660 and 940 combined or a combination of all three. By far, the brightness selection is 660nm. The various selections are controlled by a small handheld pod which is inline with the unit's power cabling. The pod features a digital display (red, of course) which allows the user to select and view the various options. In addition to the ones described above, a rapidly flashing mode can be enabled by pressing the power button a second time. The unit also has an option where a timer can be set to limit operation to between 5 and 30 minutes in 5 minute increments. And, speaking of the power cable, it consists on the 12-volt, 4A rated AC adapter and its cable which is around 48" long. Then there's the control pod and its cables which total around 72". Those are in addition to the short cable which is permanently attached to the light panel. All of that information intended to demonstrate there is more than adequate cable length relative to the panel's power source. The panel's stand and base seem to be very adequate. The base is trapezoidal in shape and averages 8-1/2" wide and 6-1/2" from front to back. It is fairly heavy so I assume it is made from steel. The vertical support rod is approximately 8-1/2" tall and just over 1/2" in diameter. That combination provides very good stability. While the top of the support rod has a swivel mechanism which allows the user to position the light panel 360 degrees horizontally and 90 degrees vertically. Minimal assembly is required but takes on a couple of minutes. I find this product to be very flexible relative to wavelength, intensity and position. At under under $30, that seems to be quite a bit of flexibility. As a bonus, a pair of very dark glasses is included to help protect the user's eyes from the bright light which the panel is capable of producing. ... show more

"This Lamp is So Bright, You Gotta Wear Shades"
I'm taking 1-star off because I continue to have my doubts about the effectiveness of this treatment, but I also know it can take a few months for noticeable improvement so I'm optimistic. This light is *bright* -- so bright that it comes with sunglasses to protect your eyes. I'll note here that I'm still not sure it's bright enough. The problem I have with this device over many others, is that it sits on your desk, not against your skin. The brightness of the light is inversely related to the distance from the surface. In order for this to be maximally effective, you have to hold your face up close to the lamp, which can be uncomfortable. This is why so many of the high-end devices use masks that you wear. Pros: -extremely bright -wavelength selection -just an absolutely ridiculous number of LEDs -in-line wired controller for functional convenience Cons: -jury is still out on effectiveness ... show more
