I love these bowls. I first order a set of 4 bowels to see how I like them, and was so pleased with them that I ordered four more. The bowls are in beautiful pastels and are large enough for salad or cereal or just about anything. They have a very nice texture. I was skeptical of buying ceramic bowls online. I thought they would arrive broken and be cheap quality. But Mora dinnerware is honestly one of the best products on Amazon. I know I sound like a shill for them, but I couldn't be happier. I work in the food industry and have guests over a lot, so I'm really picky about my dishes. I decided to buy these after reading the reviews, and I'm so glad I did. First, they are packaged incredibly well. I have purchased two sizes of plates, two sizes of bowls, ramekins, and two serving dishes, and not a single one arrived broken. Everything is packaged with pieces of foam packing materials perfectly shaped to keep every piece intact. I figured I'd at least have one or two that would be broken and need to be replaced, but I didn't have a single one arrive broken. Second, they are very thick and heavy, with such a solid feel to them. They feel substantial and not cheap. They make food look really nice, as well. I bought a range of colors because I like to take pictures of my plated dishes and it's nice to have options. But most importantly, they hold up in the dishwasher without a problem. The bowls are beautiful and sized right, they came very well packaged, but I noticed that the rim of the bowl is not glazed. Shame on me for not noticing in the images. Other bowls, the smaller 25oz bowls, are completely glazed, but these bowls are not. Does it look nice? Yes, very much so, but it not the tactile feel that I wanted. Will I live with it? My husband eats ice cream every night and will only eat out of these two bowls I got ten years ago. They no longer match the rest of my plates and bowls so I hate them and everytime I present new options he denies them. He likes heavy and he likes the texture and he likes that he can bang the ice cream scoop to get the ice cream off into the bowl without damaging. So I went on the hunt and found these and they do all of that, and even though I still haven’t gotten rid of the old blue ones he loved HE STILL USES THESE! That says it all! I love that they are terra cotta on the bottom and if they are still holding water that enables them to dry faster. Very on trend with the color and the speckles. Mora is a beautiful product. They are packaged extremely well. The packaging can be saved and dishes can be repacked if you are moving. The handles of the cups do not get hot in the microwave. They have done well in the dishwasher. I am careful however. They do need more variety. I will purchase when more choices are available. The insides of the bowls, plates, and platters do scratch easily. The scratches take on a gray look. I bought them because they do not contain lead. They look beautiful on my hanging shelves.
