I finally broke down and bought a 24" for the collection, but after years of getting by with an 18 and 48, but this left me very sad. To be clear this tile cutter is one flaw correction away from being a great cutter. It scores fantastically, the support wings are great and, for the most part, build quality and design are great. However... There is this stupid collar thing at the end of the snapping ridge (you can see it in the pictures - black cover on the ridge towards the ruler end) that absolutely ruins cuts. I don't know what R&D they did to demonstrate this is an improvement (I get the concept of why, but no way did it work in testing), but it's completely unnecessary if there is a proper ridge. What a frustrating and easily avoidable hindrance for longer tiles with narrow cuts. ... show more

Good quality materials. Laser was a nice touch although mine was misaligned when received. I’m not sure if it’s the wheel or the design of the base but it doesn’t cut as straight as other premium snappers I have used. That being said I refuse to pay $500 or more on a snapper when a wet saw is in the same price point. There are plenty of time applications where a snapper is better than a wet saw as you can use it right next to you without risk of mess. I use this strictly for flooring tile now as my cut ends are always covered by trim and if it’s slightly jagged it will not be seen. Don’t suggest for wall tile unless you really want to put those Diamond sponges to work. ... show more

I had a ton of 3x12 subway tile to install, aproximately 200sq ft. I bought this manual tile cutting tool to save time. It did the job well. It cut the ceramic tile enamel with ease after just a light scratch of the tile's surface. I also tried this tool out on hard pressed ceramic tile. The hard pressed tile split fairly easily but a guy should definately use a wet saw for exposed cut, as the manual cutting tool produced much more damage to the tiles decorative surface along the cut edge. Worked for cutting the hard pressed tile where the cut edge is hidden in a corner. Laser is accurate enough for most corner work. If you want serious accuracy and cleaner cut edges you'll need a decent wet saw with the right cutting wheel. I enjoyed using this tool. Worked Excellent for soft ceramic. Rough edges that needed to look nice can be cleaned up with a tile sanding stone. ... show more
