Description

Mophie's 15 Watt wireless charging pad is a stylish charging pad for your phone and can be used at your home or workplace. The pad does not only look great but is comfortable to use, with its compact design that makes it ideal for use on a desk or by your bedside. The charging pad is made of a rubbery plastic that prevents it from sliding around on the surface. It is relatively light build, which makes it ideal for travelling with. Rather than the plastic toppers featured on other charging pads, the top of the charging pad is made of soft fabric which is less likely to get scratched or scuffed. The charging pad's up to 15 Watts Wireless charging speed is a well-rounded pace that will function well with the supported capabilities of latest smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S 21 and work seamlessly with any Qi enabled mobile devices. An LED indicator light is located on the charging pad's front which will tell you it is active. The Mophie Universal Wireless Charge Pad delivers a sleek, premium charging experience that feels right at home on any desk or nightstand. Its build quality is solid, the surface has a nice grip to keep your phone in place, and when aligned properly it provides reliable 15W fast charging for Qi-enabled devices. It looks and feels like a high-end accessory rather than just another charging pad, which makes it especially appealing if you care about both function and aesthetics. That said, the lack of MagSafe support is a noticeable drawback. Without the magnetic alignment, you’re left with the old frustration of thinking your phone is charging when it isn’t—something Apple’s MagSafe ecosystem solved elegantly. The indicator light could help, but it’s unfortunately covered by the phone while charging, which makes it less useful. Still, when positioned correctly, it works exactly as promised. Overall, it’s a quality charger that I enjoy using, but the absence of magnets keeps it from being perfect. For these reasons, I give it a 4/5. ... show more

Had one for years, bought this second one to put in another location. Works through most non-metallic/battery cases. Update: the second charging pad I purchased had the adapter or cable fail. There was a kink in the cable so that could have been the problem. Not able to check it though. I did verify with the first charging pad that the pad itself still functions. However the charger and its associated cable does not work anymore with either pad. I purchased a third charging pad of this same type, but it is not the same identical product. This updated version of the charging pad has a different power adapter which is rectangular instead of square making it easier to plug in next to other electrical plugs on a power strip. Another difference is the pad itself is considerably lighter and seems to have a different internal layout than previous versions. The plastic outer coating of this newer version also seems slightly different with a better & more grippy ring. The rest of the surface seems textured to be less prone to pick up dust and fingerprints. This product also now states that it is capable of delivering between 5 and 10 watts, whereas the original version had a maximum output of 7.5 watt. ... show more

    • Interesting design, but horribly unreliable
Purchased one of these and it did not work at all. Placing my phone on the pad (Pixel 9 Pro) just sits there and constantly connects and disconnects until it eventually drains the remaining battery. Returned and replaced with another unit and it works *sometimes*, but still does this sometimes. When it works, it works great: Form factor is well designed, very sleek and aesthetic, indicator LED is unobtrusive, charges battery in less than 2 hours... BUT, it still does this like 20% of the time. I have tried the following: - Replacing with another unit (as mentioned above) - Using both the factory charging block and plugging it directly into the wall in a USB-C port - Swapping out the cable - Using a smaller phone case (Otterbox Defender and Symmetry models) as well as no case at all (not that it matters, because this product is advertised as being compatible with most cases) - Charging a different phone (somehow works even worse with my partner's iPhone 13) - Using another wireless charger (my phone worked fine with two different models of Nanami chargers, one of which was not even designed for this phone In short: If I put my phone on this at night with 60% battery, there's a good chance it will be dead by 5 am. I cannot trust to do it's job over a sufficiently long stretch of time. ... show more
