This percussion set feels like a fun little bundle to explore. The tambourine is lightweight and the wood has a smooth feel with a decorative ribbon around the frame. When shaken, it has a nice bright sound and tapping on it gives a pleasant tone. The guiro is comfortable to hold and the scraper has a sturdy plastic handle. Using the two together makes a loud scratching sound that feels satisfying when playing with it. The maracas feel solid as well with the rattle makes it easy to settle in a rhythmic pattern. The wooden sticks are made of a smooth, light colored wood and a crisp sound when tapped together. Overall, the pieces feel sturdy in the hand and I've enjoyed just playing around with them.

Got these to use in a jam improv group where we use all kinds of instruments and percussion. Really impressed by the volume of noise, especially with the maracas and frog. Almost too loud if you're used to wood. The frog comb produces a sharp, clear sound, but you can't really make a smooth or continuous sound because the tines are too thin/pointy. You can remedy this by using a plastic comb, but it's fun to experiment with different things for different sounds. The sticks are nice and the tambourine is decent, makes great noise. For the price, this is a really nice set of percussion.
