Our whole family loves this light. It’s so cool! It does require hard taps to respond to touch. My 3 year olds light hand doesn’t activate it. He has to firmly hit it to get it to turn on or change colors. The cool and cool warm mix definitely compliment the print on the moon best. Warm is cool too but it definitely makes the sphere very orange with the print on the sphere. The only disappointment with this item is the orient on the sphere. It is not as depicted in the photos. I expected a cooler galaxy style print with stars whereas what it actually looks like its closer to a print from a lava lamp ranging in colors from orange to pink, purple, blue and black. I guess I just expected to have a bit more galaxy detail on the sphere print. Other than that we’re happy with this item and would absolutely recommend it. It’s definitely a cool light. Only rated 4/5 stars because the print isn’t that close to the actual description photos on the listing. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is a cool little accent light that you can place anywhere to add a little creative ambience and glow (see photo). Kids will enjoy it as a night light too. Unlike other moon lights that just display one color or cycle through a series of colors, this one has been imprinted with a galaxy image, so it has more visual interest. And instead of solid colors, you can choose from warm white, cool white, or both to illuminate the galaxy. And all you need to do is tap the moon to cycle through the light choices or to turn the moon on or off. There is also a “hard” power button underneath to shut down the moon (loud music or sounds can otherwise accidentally turn it on). The light comes with only a USB charging cable. You need to supply the USB power source or a 5V USB AC adapter to plug it into the wall for charging. You can leave the moon plugged in to keep it charging and still use it as a light. You can rest the moon on the included wooden stand or hang it upside-down from the ceiling using the included thin nylon rope that threads through 4 small holes on the bottom of the moon. This moon lamp is not what I would call a lava lamp, but is much safer for everyone. It has 3 light settings which are cool, warm, and something halfway in between. It is fairly easy to change the light temperature by bopping the moon, or in the case of some, licking it ferociously. It doesn't change with a gentle tap. This lamp makes a pretty and unusual nightlight for a bed side table. I have not seen a moon lamp with a galaxy pattern before this. There is an option to hang it but it seems to me like a bit of a pain to take it down and charge it. It seems to have a battery life of about a week when used for a couple of hours a night. I will probably get an adapter and just put it on electricity permanently. ... show more

This is a cool moon globe light. I think perfect for any space-themed bedroom. It has three light settings and can be activated or deactivated (or you can cycle through the different lighting modes) by basically touching the top. There is also a hard on and off switch on the bottom of the globe. You can rest it on a wooden stand you assemble yourself (what I did, no tools required) or it can be hung from the ceiling or some other object. This night light comes with a USB charging cable but that's it as far as power, as you have to provide a USB power source or a plug adapter to plug into the wall or power strip. Fortunately, I keep a package of spares because this seems common and also the ones I use for my phone have a limited life span. It's not super accurate as far as lunar geography or anything but it looks great in a room. ... show more
