It took me probably a year to buy this duvet. It's been sitting in my saved-for-later and wish list for months and months. You see, I am incredibly picky with bedding. I am a hot sleeper and absolutely cannot stand being too hot. There is nothing worse to me in the world. I run the AC nonstop in the summer and have windows open in the winter. Two words will absolutely turn me off from any duvet: 1. ~soft~ and 2. warm. No, It needs to feel like cool water woven into fabric. Smooth but not silk or satin. Cool but not flimsy. Heavy but not hot. No flannel, no microfiber, no ~soft~. Typically I look for percale but that severely limits my color choices. Almost all brands only make white, grey, maybe sage in percale sheets and duvets. Boring. So I kept returning to this duvet in my saved-for-later. Will I/ Won't I? Finally, I figured what the hell it's cheap and it's amazon so I can just return it. And I'm tired of searching and praying for percale brands to get their shit together and offer a color selection. I mean it's been a battle for years. Does this duvet feel like cool water woven into fabric? No. But is it ~soft~? Also No. Is it itchy/scratchy? ehhhhh not really. However, I do not get too hot and it comes in a million colors, both of which is what we established are most important here. Are you going to like this duvet? I don't know. Probably not, and I guess you can blame me. But I'm here to tell you that if your priorities are at least similar to mine, It's worth trying this duvet out. I LOVE this fabric feel for a duvet cover - I'm super picky about bedding. Satin-y velvet-y textures and cheap polyester give me the ick and anything too warm or fuzzy feeling will keep me up at night. I am the type that likes showering before bed so things feel fresh and clean, blasts the AC, and does everything possible to lower the humidity in the house. I am a fan of casper sheets if that helps give an idea of the kind of bed environment I like. This linen like texture is a perfect fit, breathable and cool feeling, while also being cozy as heck. I got the Mauve Brown I think that’s what it’s called. Steady sturdy. Super cute. If it gets wet, it disolves. I got the cal cal king the extra long one but the regular cal king would have been better. I put two comforters from Amazon too and I can’t get it to be fluffy. But I love how comfy and cute it makes my whole room look. The salt lamp and the boot are from 5 and Below. The pillows from Amazon. The flower pillow from shein. I wanted this exact color for my bedroom and so glad I went with this specific duvet cover. Also husky approved :) The fabric is lovely! It get's softer and softer with each wash. I don't find that it wrinkles a whole lot coming out of the washer. I dry it on low and it comes out perfect each time. I wash this every 2 weeks because I love it so much more than any of my other beddings lol. It makes that big of a difference to have a nice duvet cover on your bed, it ties the whole room together!
