I will edit the review if need be because I have only had this for a few days. However, first impressions: 1) Built like a tank - all metal design - sturdy af 2) Easy to use - just have to have an IQ above room temperature 3) I/O is first class. Seriously, you have effects loop, XLR stereo out, 1/4 stereo out, USB, Midi in and out, Aux in ... 4) AMP models are best in class. It has all my favorite amps too (Powerball, Mark III, 5150) 5) Good effects, but not a lot to be honest. 6) Global EQ sets this apart from other modelers as well as the tone capture What I wish it had: 1) More effects (compressions, sonic maximizer, better whammy) 2) Better IR's (probably worst in class in the 400 dollar range) 3) dual amp modeling, I would like to use two amps at once 4) More slots for custom IR's (like 100 more lol) 5) 96khz sample rate would be nice for both wave format and USB recording but not that big of a deal With that said: Get 3rd party IR's. It makes this thing sound as good as $2k modelers. I'm not joking. I bought the Heavy Hitters metal pack on Ownhammer as well as the Kohle Eminence Metal Pack. ... show more

    • I ran this into my Tube amp, and didn't like the sound.

This is going to sound cliché, but it sounds digital lol, I'm not a tube snob, but you can't get authentic SRV, and Duane Allman tones with solid state amps, they are different. On the other hand, I'm not doing that much of those two currently, I was actually hoping to get great 80's Classic Rock sounds, nope, nothing in there was even close to impressive, actually nothing useable, save for maybe a clean chorused sound, but I didn't spend much time with clean , so it's hard to say, that might have turned out to be a disappointment as well , had I spent time with it. - As far as getting a good sound out of the Moore GE250, it is possible that a solid state amp might be more compatible, I can't say for sure. I can say this though, my old zoom g2's sound useable through my tube amp, the GE250 did not. At first when I plugged in the GE, I was thinking , this might have some good stuff in it, I ran through a couple dozen factory presets, and just shook my head, no , no , no... nothing useable at all. just some kind of something' lacking in ever preset, with or without cab sim. Most of the youtube clips you will find, are plugged into laptops etc, they sound great on youtube. As I was saying, or starting to say, they might be great , direct to PA , or DAW, Recording software, I can't say from my own experience. ... show more

The power supply was a convertor to change the current to the US voltage and the Moore was noisy and the changes from channel to channel was loud.

    • Very versitile pedal to go to a console

Very nice size, while still having a volume/expression controller. It looks pretty simple (when I watch my son play this thing) to dial in and modify sounds. I would find it a more complicated to use than he does. We've used this straight to powered FOH monitors, into stereo music amplifiers and to mixers and the sounds you can get are very usable. The range of options, cabs, amp simulations, effects and much more is boggling to me. I still prefer the organic sound of a good tube amp and cab, but sometimes, that's not an option. ... show more
