My daughter takes guitar lessons at the School of Rock in our town for about a year now and has been asking for pedals for a while so I thought I'd give this one a shot. I should note that I myself do not play guitar and my daughter is a student, not yet performing shows. With that in mind, we're happy with this ensemble pedal. It does introduce a bit of noise/distortion that, as I am told by her instructors, higher quality ones may not but my daughter loves it anyways and I think it sounds pretty awesome as a layman. The instructors think it sounds decent and several of them have other Mooer pedals so I don't think I'm alone in liking the sound and quality. They were able to help her adjust the rest of her pedals and amp to maximize the desired effect while minimizing the noise. The price is not too high for me if you look at it as being appropriate for a beginner/student. I think if you're playing high profile shows, you're definitely going to want to lay out more cash for a better quality piece of gear but that feels like it's probably pretty obvious based on the affordable price alone. The pedal functions well and gives the expected sound. It fits neatly on the pedalboard I bought to go with it and it plugs right in to the power supply on that board without issues. It looks good and feels pretty solidly made so I'm sure it'll last a while even with my kid stomping on it like she's performing the show of her life every time she practices. ... show more

MOOER Ensemble King Guitar Analog Chorus Pedal, 9V 300mA Power Supply, Footswitch Toppers, Picks (Ensemble King) Not exactly at a bargain price and not the best chorus pedal. I expected a little more even from this lower cost pedal. It introduces a fair amount of noise to the chain and isn't the most effective Chorus. Had to crank up the level a depth to get even a subtle effect, with most of the range being in the last 25% of the knob. So, it goes from pretty subtle to overpowering in big leaps.
