The vegan leather is made to look like real leather with a pebble finish. It has sturdy straps sewn in well which is important because the bag is large enough to hold lots of items. It was purchased for travel and suited my needs for carry on items. I do like this handbag a lot. It is attractive, a good functional size, enough pockets, without having too many (rendering it confusing. ) The outer bag has a nice feeling. The only reason this is 4 and not 5 stars is because the inside material is not as nice. It is a little crinkly. I fear that with will get brittle. The bag is really nice, and a great price with the coupon! I bought the blue one, which will look great with jeans.
