I use this handbag strap as a crossbody lanyard for my cell phone because it is thicker and wider, strong and more durable, and very comfortable and functional. I previously purchased a lanyard as part of a crossbody lanyard kit for cell phones. I found the lanyard strap to be too thin and constantly slipping from my preferred length. So I purchased this handbag strap instead and turned it into a lanyard for my cell phone by attaching it to a round carabiner and the carabiner to my cell phone tether tab, and I love it. I no longer have the slippage I don't want and it's a lot more stylish too. I strap my cell phone on all the time, even when I'm walking around the house, and especially when I'm in the kitchen cooking. Whenever I want to use my cell phone without the lanyard, I quickly detach the carabiner with handbag strap from the tether tab and I'm out the door. This instant on and off is very convenient for me since I'm always on-the-go.

Took some searching but this strap had the details I really wanted. Intended to pair this with a black handbag so wanted black accents (not brown). Many straps on Amazon have no leather accents at all. Please do not buy those. Details matter! The hardware is the perfect gold with a quality clasp. Very easy to adjust. Strap is nylon and colors are vibrant. I'm 5 ft tall and have the strap 50% extended. So lots of room for size adjustments. I bought a carry bag that had short carry handles and thought this strap would be a good addition. It worked. It's not adjustable, but it's just the right length. With the clips attached to the bag straps and the strap worn across my body, the bag hangs next to my hip, just the right spot. I'm 5'7" for size comparison. It may fit differently for taller or smaller people. It's well made and an attractive design. Thank you!
