This Montana West Crossbody Bag (MWC-643BR) fills a gap in my current handbag options; something smaller for times I'm not carrying a lot and don't want to cram stuff in my pockets. The size and features of the bag are perfect for concerts, parks, shopping. I have the essentials, they stay on me at all times, and my arms and hands are free. I like to wear crossbody purses so my hands are free, but often I find that the strap is not long enough. I recently found a purse with a strap that is perfect, so I purposely ordered this Cognac color to match that strap in case this one was not long enough. (See image with the blue and brown graphic print strap.) The Montana West strap is about 5 inches shorter, but it still works for me. For reference, I am 5'5" and 245 pounds. In the photos where I'm using the bag, I have my mini wallet, lip gloss, keychain, a tube of towels in pellet form (you just get them wet and you have a washcloth!) and my checkbook to proximate the size of my Z-Fold cell phone. There is plenty of room for more, but this bag is designed to sit close to and conform to your body, so you don't want to load it up, especially with larger inflexible items. One other thing I love about this bag - I don't have to take it off when I get in the car. It's just like a part of me at my side, and the seat belt goes right around it. The bag is very supple and feels like leather. The strap is very wide, comfortably distributing the weight; it doesn't dig into your shoulder. It's a shiny copper material that you can't appreciate in the photos on the site and I really like it. The bag has a zippered pocket on either side, as well as one zippered pocket and one slit pocket inside. I love this organization. My only ding for this purse is with the zipper on the top. I googled "wavy zippers" to see what the industry calls them, and that seems to be the best term! The zipper should lay flat, not look wavy. I've seen the photos others submitted and it doesn't appear to be isolated to just my bag. If I picked up this bag in the store, and noticed this small "flaw", I'd still purchase it because the current coupon price of $17 is awesome, and a fantastic value. I've ordered another one in Blue!

I have always seen Montana West items, but never owned any of them. I wanted to see what the hype was about, so I ordered this and have some thoughts..... I did read some reviews previously before ordering this bag and there is mixed reviews. I happen to like this bag and think the color makes it unique. I wear ALOT of blues, so this will go with almost everything I wear. I really like the pebbled texture of this bag, the zippers are.smooth and function perfectly, and the lining is made of a sturdy material that seems bulletproof tbh. The strap was fairly close to the bag color ((for the bag I received anyway)). I read some buyers received a bag with the strap being a super light blue color and someone said the strap resembled a seat belt pahahahaha 😂 I will say-their not lying though because it most definitely does lol. It made me chuckle. The fabric of the outer shell seems like it would scratch or be punctured easily if the opportunity presented itself. This bag is big enough to carry my daily essentials ((i.e. phone, battery pack, makeup, keys, and feminine hygiene)). I also appreciate that the strap is adjustable and gives a lot of slack, making it possible for a variety of women to wear. All in all, I really like this bag! It's comfy to carry & I'm a plus sized girly, which does make a difference! For the quality and the price, I say this is a steal! Would highly recommend ✔️

One star off for a couple reasons: 1) wavy zipper (which means there was a flaw in manufacturing or the materials used don't quite match up, and cheapens the look); 2) The included strap is too long to use as a fanny pack/bum bag as advertised (I am 5'6", 145 lbs, 41" hips/glutes and 29" waist); 3) the 3D plastic logo, which sticks out a bit aesthetically and I feel also cheapens the look. Otherwise this is a pretty nice, affordable PU "leather" (plastic) purse. The pebbled leather imitation and cognac color looks pretty good, the hardware is metal, and the zippers all zip nicely despite the waviness issue. There are a good amount of pockets allowing for organization, and the flattened design of the bag means it sits super close to your body. The wide strap is nylon like a typical "belt bag," which looks casual but is super comfortable. The strap can be removed if you need something less casual at times. At $25 at the time of ordering (in March 2026), I think it's still a good affordable buy, but the look of the zipper and logo is disappointing. If those issues and the belt sizing don't bother you, I can recommend this.

Montana West crossbody bag with dual zipper pockets on the front and back is exactly as advertised and I can't be more pleased with it. I am very happy with the pebble polyuethane material that feels and looks exactly like the branded leather material with multiple functional zippers and a nice size. Although the size is perfect for a bum bag, there is no depth to this bag which for me and this bag, no big deal. The depth usually determines what you can fit on the insides, but with this bag, this length/width determines those factors. Now I will say that the bag is meant to lay flat on the body/chest/bum and for me this is take a lot of management. Although this bag is pocket generous, bulky items will not fit comfortably in this bag due to the lack of depth in the bottom. I love the large strap, which makes it more casual, but if you have other purses with chain/thin straps, you can attach those for dressier occasions. I have figured out what works for me when I carry this bag, I make sure I have pockets on my clothing to hold larger items such as ear plugs (the charging case is too bulky), if you catch my drift. Outside of this note, this is the perfect bag for running errands, concerts, parties, etc. I highly recommend this bag as the price advertised is similar to comparable items.
