I'll admit it, I was a little worried about purchasing paint online. The color swatches never seem to match the actual color. The same was true of the color I purchased -- Riverstone. The color swatch was a lot darker than I wanted, but I needed a low sheen brown because I told my landlords that I would paint once I moved into the home and promised that I would keep the colors as close to the originals as possible (truth be told, their brown colored walls have a muted muddy look... Its ugly. I hate it). Riverstone, in the bucket, has a melted milk chocoloate color. I knew when it dried it would be a shade darker and it was, but it still looks like milk chocolate. Get yourself a milk chocolate candy bar and look at the color -- that's Riverstone. I really love the color. Its beautiful and the low sheen makes it perfect for all the walls in my home -- easy to clean, but will hide surface defects of the wall, too. Once stirred in the bucket, the paint is so smooth and thick, and paints on like a dream. Since my walls were a lighter (awful) brown, there were some spots that I had to go over twice, but it was mainly my fault for not dipping the roller again towards the end of the single roll. Where I cut in at the trim with a paintbrush, those parts needed another coat, but again that was my fault because I didn't overload my brush with paint (didn't want drips). Another thing, I am so truly grateful this paint is thick enough to cover, because at my age, I have absolutely NO business being on a ladder (age and a stroke). This paint has made my task so much easier for me. I've painted my kitchen and the small hallway leading to the kitchen and I've only used about a gallon of the 5 gallon bucket I purchased. So, I'll definitely have enough paint for my other downstairs rooms -- an extra bedroom, small bath, and the living room. Since I'm so pleased with the Riverstone color, I'd absolutely LOVE to try out the Almost Dusk and Snow White shades for the upstairs rooms, because I think those colors would be beautiful and relaxing. So, if you're looking for an economical low sheen paint, that's a lovely milk chocolate brown, and covers in one coat, I definitely recommend Montage's Signature Interior/Exterior Riverstone. Thank you for other reviews first of all. The helped narrow selection for us. I was a bit skeptical of the color going on because it looked pinkish. Now, We are so pleased with outcome, ease of use and thickness for a deck. We went over paint and stain and only sanded, then vacuumed. Put on two coats after 8 or 10 hours drying time in the NE. Very nice paint. We like the lightness and brightness to it on a deck. Itโ€™s very pleasing to look at in the morning. Thx so much. ... show more

When I received this paint I was disappointed. No matter how much I shook and stirred it it was still like water on my paintbrush. Then I tried a strip on the wall and OMG.... this paint is AWESOME!!!! The coverage is unbelievable and the color is rich and cozy. One gallon was enough to paint 2 1/2 good size rooms. Only downside is there arenโ€™t enough colors to choose from. For now... goodbye Valspar, goodbye Glidden!! Thank you montage!! ... show more

This is an update to my first review. The company personally reached out to me to apologize for the watery paint. I leave many reviews and let me tell you this is RARE that a company puts a customer first and tries to make good and stands behind their product. We came to an agreement that worked for the both of us and with certainty I can tell you I will be ordering again from this company. I have an entire fence to paint next and this is who I will be ordering my paint from!! (First Review: So this was the 4th or 5th gallon of this paint I have purchased in the last few months. This last gallon was WATERY. Not even close to the thickness of the others. I stirred it, shook it and still watery. So just beware not all of the gallons are good!) ... show more

I loved this paint and it's coverage. Used it in a bathroom. I didn't like shipment being with UPS for the box was destroyed and the paint can heavily dented. It made for difficulty getting lid off and on in between coats. Easily washed up from hands, brushes, etc.

Nowhere does it state that this product may cause cancer or birth defects, until you receive the product. Apparently Eco friendly does not mean non toxic. UPDATE***** I changed my review from 1 star to 3. I received a letter from the seller explaining Californias proposition. I bought this paint because of how eco friendly it is. However, I would have appreciated the transparency of the Cancer exposure, regardless of the trace amount or if it is just found in all latex paints. As a consumer I feel it is my right to know what I am bringing into my home and exposing my family to. I am truly impressed by the sellers costumer service and if they updated their page and were more transparent with their product then Iโ€™d give it a 5 :) ... show more

Although I was very happy with the paint (when it arrived) I still have not been refunded the 75+ dollars for the three "undeliverable" paint gallons that were never able to ship due to damaging. I quickly purchased another 3 and they have shipped delivered and my house is painted but I would love for Amazon or 3rd party to look into this so I can be rightfully reimbursed ASAP thanks. ... show more
