I have purchased this product twice. First to do a mural and it was very useful and versatile in that context. The second time was to have a so called average paint to accompany my high end paint. This is for studio canvas painting. I could clearly tell the difference in quality btw both kinds of paint. This product has a looser quality and dries fast with a plastic looking effect. I started using it mostly for washes and backgrounds, leaving my golden acrylic paints for detailing and last coats. But if you have a larger project outside, these actually rock.

the only drawback is the lids. how do the lids screw down so the caps don’t dry out? i tried both directions and nothing worked! the green paint is watery and uneven compared to the others!

As a beginner I cannot say for sure how this brand holds up against more artist grade paints but I have to say myself the experience is amazing. I love these paints compared to other bulk or student grade paints I've used. By far my favorite after trying quite a few. Only draw back I have is that the caps sometimes snap at the bend when used a lot * Specifically the black and white * So perhaps have backup containers. Regardless the paints are worth the minor inconvenience.

Not sure about these... I bought them for my classroom after a recommendation from another teacher who is (like me) fed up with the low quality of Blickrylics. For the money, these are pretty good. The variety of colors is nice, but I have a few gripes with a set this big - it comes with essentially 3 different blues, but no purple or magenta. It's impossible to mix a vibrant purple with this set because it only comes with a very very warm toned red. The yellow is a bit odd as well, a little bit dull or something - neither the green nor the orange I mixed with it had much vibrancy or life to them. The other thing I noticed was that some of these perform a bit like gauche - they aren't completely watersafe once they dry down, and will reactivate slightly when you layer if you're not careful. That being said, this is a huge amount of paint for 100$, and I think my students will appreciate the variety of colors. These aren't what I'd go for for a final piece, but for studies and practice these are a great value.

Having bad art supplies can seriously hinder a beginner's ability and/or willingness to learn. Skip the craft paint, buy this instead! These paints are an excellent price for the quality and are great for beginners or folks on a budget. I'd say these are best for students. I'm attaching a painting I made for a relative with said paints. Note: I also used a small amount of Golden brand magenta paint, but that was the only color I needed to supplement for this particular painting. I recommend starting with this set and buying smaller, individual tubes of other colors to supplement, as there are a few colors you just can't mix with these.

I was extremely skeptical about purchasing this originally. I am a frequent crafter and I sell my work so quality is important to me but so is quantity because I don't live near any local craft stores so I like to buy something that will last. I took the chance because I have 6 kids and I figured even if it wasn't high enough quality for my customers then it could still be used for my kids art projects and wouldn't be a total loss. I'm so glad that I went through with my order. I recieved my order quickly and it was very well packaged. I could hardly wait to get to work and test it out. I haven't painted anything large or used a lot of the colors yet but after using a couple colors just to test the product I'm totally impressed. Everyone has their own preference and I particularly rather a thicker acrylic paint because I often add paint mediums or water to my paint for certain projects so a thicker paint allows me to do so without worrying about making it too thin. This paint was the perfect consistency for my needs. The colors I used had great pigment and great coverage. Having the pump at the top of the bottle and the handle on the bottle is also extremely convenient. I will definitely be a repeat customer from now on and may even buy my kids this set as a gift for an upcoming holiday or just for some summer fun!

I used it for some furniture that had scraps on it. The color looks great and not boring. This is the best option from harmful paint chemicals. The color dried in a day and no odor smell next day.
