When ordering this rail, the screws that are provided may be a bit small or wrong for your rifle. That’s the only downside, but the company is good when it comes to providing the proper screws after you reach out. Before you do though, check and see if the screws off your old rail work with this one! Mine did and everything holds fantastically!

I used this rail on a Axis II to mount a Bushnell Trophy XLT. The rail looks great for fit and finish. It has a small "Monstrum" logo on the edge of the rail. It comes with both #6 and #8 screws since Savage changed the threads in 2021. There is also an Allen wrench included for each size. I used some Scope-Tite thread locker by Millet on the screws and tightened to 15 in-lbs. using a torque wrench. I am happy with the installation of the rail. I have not tested it out yet, but it seems solid. I also used UTG Accu Shot rings in medium height from Amazon to mount the scope in the photo.

This particular rail fit really well but it had a little movement to it. I always bed my rails anyway with JB so it was fine for me. The biggest negative about this rail is that it came with slotted screws, they weren't even good ones. You could not get any real torque on them...Luckily I had some torx screws that fit so I was able to complete the mounting properly. It was unfortunate because the Monstrum rail for the Remington 700 was a perfect fit and came with torx screws. This rail is aluminum but sturdy enough.

I ordered 2 of these for 2 be savage axis 2. I read in the comments that you needed different screws so I search the size and ordered them separately.. well my factory screws worked on mine and monstrum went above and sent 2 different sizes with the rail. Fit is perfect and great product.. their scope rings are also really good at half the price!!

Other brands (Shall rename nameless) did not work as advertised... Monstrum did! Easy install with just 4 screws and it came with multiple sizes and lengths of screws to ensure it worked the first time. Thank you Monstrum!

Rail comes with the screws to fit both old style Savage and the new style. Another thing to mention is the hole closest to the barrel is not drilled or threaded deep enough to keep the screw from bottoming out in the hole before it gets tight on the rail. I just filed the lenght down. Just FYI, not meant to demean the quality of the rail.
