  • Great for the M&P 15-22
Style: BDC-A3 Reticle Color: Black
I bought this based upon other reviews and the price to use on my Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22 rifle. I was skeptical, and wasn't expecting a whole lot from a budget friendly lpvo, but figured since I'm just using it on a .22lr it should be good enough. (Let's be honest, you're not going to get a duty grade optic for $100). I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it is, as the quality was a lot better than I was expecting. The glass is clear, the reticle is crisp, and the eye relief is quite good. It came with a cantilever mount in the box, and the hex keys needed to install it. (You can find mounting instructions/ torque specs on the Monstrum website). Fits the pic rail with no issues. Went to the range to zero it in and do some plinking. You can feel each click as you adjust the elevation and windage, which is extremely helpful when dialing it in. I zeroed it for 35 yards, but I was reaching out anywhere from 50 to 100 yards and hitting steel targets. My brother, a USMC veteran who owns and uses a few higher quality optics, joined me that day with his Ruger 10/22 M1 carbine (nowadays, .22lr is the most affordable way to have a day at the range without breaking the bank). Between the two of us, we put well over 500 rounds through the M&P 15-22, and the Monstrum lpvo held zero the entire time. Even he was impressed by the quality of this lpvo and he couldn't believe it when I told him the price. He has since bought one because for the reasonable price of $100, why not? My F.I.L. recently bought one based upon my recommendation. To sum it up, you can spend a lot more and get a lot less. So, if you're looking at buying your first lpvo to see if you like the platform (and if you do, you'll upgrade in time), or if your just looking for an inexpensive lpvo for your plinker, this is probably one of the better of the budget friendly options out there. I'm giving it 5 stars based upon the price, functionality, ease of use, and the fact it has multiple reticle options. I can't speak to the durability, because I don't plan on torturing a range toy. As of now, I'm considering the possibility of buying another to try on my 9mm carbine rifle, or an actual AR-15 because I'm curious to see how it will do on a bigger platform. Even if it doesn't work out on the bigger platform, I have another .22lr it can live on. Happy plinking! ... show more

  • Very well made, clear glass, holds zero, nice turrets
Style: CM7 Reticle Color: Black
I was skeptical at first, but Monstrum has won me over. This is a very good scope, especially but not only because of, the low price point. I actually can't believe this was under $80 at the time of purchase. The glass is very clear and it is very well made. the turrets click nicely, and it seems to hold zero well so far when racking my PTR 91 - though i've not shot .308 out of it yet, so we'll see if it holds up. It is a bit long for my rifle, but i knew that going into it. It does not interfere with doing the "HK Slap", but it does prevent me from using the incorporated carrying handle. The zoom dial is pretty difficult to turn though - that's about the only qualm i have with this scope. I still give it 5 BIG stars - and I can't wait to try out some other Monstrum optics soon! I wish it was 1/4 MOA instead of 1/2 MOA per click, but hey - that makes the math easier! ... show more

  • new 22 sight
Style: CM9 Reticle Color: Black
feels like a good scope, deffinly good for my 22. is a little heavy but not bad at all. fits the rifle well, havent run the battery out yet but experience tells me it wont last super long. looks good, feels good. is a liiiiittle bit small on the view but its not bad. its bright if you turn on the light. worth orice for a smaller caliber or airsoft. and its cheap to replace! ... show more

  • It's worth the money, clear glass, actually does what it claims. Solid, quality feel and look to it
Style: CM9 Reticle Color: Black
Glass is clear, zoomies worked well. I wish I had a couple extra but 6 will do. Torqued all the screws, everything very solid. Used laser bore sight and got it zeroed quickly. Eye relief on my AR was good, glass stayed clear even at 6× and wasn't hard to keep on target at full magnification. Only reason I didn't give 6 stars was the reticle I chose had an arrow pointing at Bullseye, the only part of reticle that lit up, it worked great but there was a 2nd arrow directly under main one but slightly offset to the right. I thought it was part of the reticle, maybe wind drift? But nope, only supposed to be on arrow. Past 60 yards it was hard to make shots with both arrows showing red.I called and a new LPVO is replacing this one. Sent within three days. Hopefully this was a one off. I like this scope ... show more

  • Great budget optic.
Style: CM8 Reticle Color: Black
Very nice budget optic. Clear glass. Easy to zero. I like the every other illumination click is off so you don't have to turn it 7 clicks every time you turn it on if you like it on 7 for brightness. For this price give it a try.

  • Mounted on 5.56 and works great!
Style: BDC-A3 Reticle Color: Black
I recently picked up a Monstrum gun scope, and I have to say, it’s been awesome. The clarity is great, even in low light, so I can easily use it during early mornings or late evenings. It feels really solid and well-made, and it handles recoil without any issues. Adjusting the reticle is super smooth, and the zoom options give me a lot of flexibility for different shots. The windage and elevation knobs are easy to use and precise. For the price, this scope is a steal and works perfectly whether you’re new to shooting or more experienced. Overall, I’m really happy with it and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality scope without breaking the bank. ... show more

Excellent purchase for the money. Good quality works really well and looks good. I would have no problem telling someone to buy this. Put it on an Umarex Hammer carbine. Yahoo!

  • Solid budget LPVO
Style: CM8 Reticle Color: Black
Solid budget LPVO for a 1–6x: clear glass for the price, true-ish 1x, red illumination with multiple levels, and a usable CM8 reticle that stays bold since it’s SFP. The included 30 mm cantilever mount, flip caps, and throw lever make setup quick, and the tactile turrets zero easily and hold for typical .223/5.56 range use. Eye relief is acceptable but the eye box tightens at 6x, illumination isn’t a “daylight-bright” dot, and there’s no zero stop or parallax knob—fair trade-offs at $100. If you want an inexpensive, complete LPVO kit for a training rifle or .22 plinker, this Ladon punches above its cost without pretending to be duty grade. ... show more
