  • Has features that a scope at twice the price don't have.
Style: MIL Reticle
The build quality is surprising at this price point. The glass is very clear, and the turrents have audible and tactile clicks. Is it perfect? Of course not, nothing is. It is however a very nice, feature rich, first focal plane scope at a budget second focal plane price. I have enough faith in it to recommend to and family. ... show more

  • A solid scope at a very attractive price point
Style: MOA Reticle
Im a self-professed newbie to the world of distance target shooting. finding the right equipment and researching a good value is hard, especially when on a budget. So far, this scope has been an absolute bargain for me. I felt like I got some pretty neat features without breaking the bank, and it’s been an invaluable addition to my shooting gear on range days For its price, I really do think the scope’s value is unbeatable at MSRP. With it being 6-24x, a first focal plane (FFP) reticle (which I prefer, personally) and pretty hefty build, it’s a good buy The clarity of the optics is impressive, providing clear, crisp images even at the highest magnification. Adjusting the scope and zeroing in was straightforward. It has held its zero exceptionally well after several hundred rounds, so i’m impressed with the QC on this unit so far. I gotta say, this thing has exceeded my expectations so far, especially at a super reasonable price. It’s easy to use, accurate, and built solid. I’d highly recommend it to anyone diving into long-range target shooting for the first time and looking for a pretty good value without compromising on performance. ... show more

  • Good long range plinker update
Style: MIL Reticle
This scope works great for long range plinking on my 22 savage TR all I own is leupold and vortex wanted a high power for fun without breaking the bank and it did not disappoint the reviews were pretty favorable with guys using 6.5 and 308 so the little 22 is not going to throw off zero due to recoil obviously unless it was factory defective. Very happy with it glass is fine turrets ok got me touching holes at 50 yards guess will see from 100 and beyond for the price it’s good and fun using mil dot and FFP. Update 100 plus yard it works great might by 1 more for a rimfire ... show more

  • Good budget optic
Style: MIL Reticle
This is a really decent optic for the money. Comes with solid mounts with a built-in bubble level, and pretty clear glass.

  • Almost perfect, but you can't beat the quality for the price.
Style: MOA Reticle
Let me just start off by saying this is in the budget category of scopes, that being said the features in the scope are A tier quality, the zero stop, the numbered hash marks, the overall build quality is what you could expect from monstrum, they take hits bumps and drops and retain zero, granted you mount them to the gun properly. The pros. The scope rings are quite wide and are attached with six screws each, excluding one screw for the bubble level built into one scope ring top, extremely solid, if you follow the proper torque sequence your scope will never move on you. I really like the reticle, it's very clear to see, and very easy to use, as I mentioned, it has numbered hash marks to make it easier to make on the fly holdovers. The turrets feel very nice, and align the moa marks very well with the pointer arrow on the scope base, the zero stop also works very nicely and reliability albeit it does possess one downfall. The cons. The optical clarity is pretty bad at full magnification, it really does perform best at about x14, that said, you would be hard pressed to find A x14 mag scope loaded with the features and reliability of this one for the same price. The illuminated redicule doesn't really work very well, it lights it up, but seems to be off centered and actually only lights up half of each element, and ultimately makes it harder to see. That all being said, I still like the scope and would recommend it to anyone looking for A reliable mid range scope, I've tested it on 22wmr, .223, and it held its zero and remains as one of my favorite scopes. ... show more

  • “Zero Stop” is false advertising
Style: MIL Reticle
If I had gotten to sighting in this scope earlier I would have returned it. The scope holds zero and has decent glass. But the knobs are mushy and the Zero Stop is the worst design I have ever encountered. When you set the Zero Stop it limits the elevation adjustment to JUST ONE ROTATION, leaving you with only a few mils of adjustment and completely defeating the purpose of a zero stop. The zero stop at this price point is the whole reason I bought this scope. I don’t know how they can even consider this a zero stop or even a long range scope for that matter. ... show more

  • Fine Scope but Major Flaw in Zero-Stop
Style: MOA Reticle
The scope does not have a workable zero-stop. The zero-stop design is (laughably) flawed: There is a screw on the turret cap that you adjust to engage the zero-stop. This screw makes contact with a tooth on a stationary ring around the turret bearing causing the turret to stop. The problem is that if you turn the turret *in the other direction it will also hit the same tooth at the end of the revolution*. This means that if you engage the zero-stop, your turret will be trapped within a single revolution, giving you only 7.5 MOA of adjustment. This totally defeats the purpose of a zero-stop. The solution to this issue is to have an elevation turret cap that rises as you turn it up. This causes the screw to rise pass over the tooth on the first and future revolutions. In the new Monstrum Challenger series, they seem to have fixed the issue, by doing exactly that. But the reticle on the Hornet is better (has more range and delimiters). If you need a scope with a zero-stop avoid this one. If they put the reticle of the Hornet inside the Challenger, that would make it a more viable PRS scope. So at this price point, currently, I would go with the CVLIFE BearPower instead. That said, I did take it out to 1000yrds on a .308 AR-10. After 200 rounds, I think it has held zero. The turrets track accurately visually (8 clicks does move the reticle precisely to the 1 MOA point). ... show more
