Installed the right front Monroe complete strut assembly as part of routine front-end maintenance. The original unit showed age-related wear affecting ride quality. The product arrived as described, sold by Monroe and fulfilled through Amazon. Packaging and overall condition were appropriate on receipt. Fitment was correct for this application. The strut assembly seated properly and matched factory dimensions and mounting points. The top mount is accessed from beneath the cowl area; having a wiper puller on hand makes removal of the wiper arms and weather guard much easier and helps avoid unnecessary force. Choosing a fully assembled strut stack avoided the need to transfer springs or mounts and made the replacement faster and more predictable compared to assembling individual components. Materials, finish, and overall assembly appeared consistent with Monroe’s OEM-replacement offerings. No issues were noted during installation. Following installation and alignment, ride quality and steering response were restored, with smooth operation and no abnormal sounds. Cost note: Ordering through Amazon resulted in roughly half the cost compared to purchasing directly, with the same product received. Conclusion: A dependable OEM-style replacement that simplifies front suspension service on the Town & Country platform.

Amazon shipped the wrong part altogether. By the time I got to doing the work I was past the return window. I’m trying to get beyond the chatbot so I’ll update that later. March 11- But for the actual product Monroe Shocks & Struts Quick-Strut 471128R Strut and Coil Spring Assembly - yes you should get this! I have a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan GT and it fits. Very easy to install if you watch a YouTube video or know how already. Chances are if you’re buying auto parts from Amazon you have some DIY auto experience. I had to rent a breaker bar and a torque wrench from autozone, so keep that in mind. The van rides smooth and quiet now. Just installed today so I’ll update in a few months. Update: Amazon made it right and gave me 80% refund. The strut itself works as expected. So far no complaints.

After installation, the ride was extremely harsh. After about 4 weeks, the strut assembly developed a clunking sound coming from the strut bearing any time the steering was turned. I contacted Monroe customer support multiple times with absolutely zero response. I was told by Amazon that after 30 days, nothing can be done to replace or refund a faulty part. I've replaced the struts with a different brand from a different supplier, and all of the previously mentioned issues went away. But now I'm out $236 for faulty struts that I cannot return. I would avoid Monroe brand suspension parts.

Alrighty, then. Why not five stars? Fundamentally, this strut has a design flaw with the bolt holes that requires additional parts. It starts with a difference between this replacement and the factory strut. The factory strut is NOT camber adjustable, having both upper and lower holes circular, not eccentric. This replacement has an eccentric lower hole, suggesting adjustability. The grind of the vehicle steering knuckle does not allow for taking advantage of the eccentric hole. The bolt passes through the hole at the outer end of the eccentric and does not allow for additional movement, making the strut non-adjustable. Before heading to the alignment shop (required), buy and install camber adjustment bolts. Do this before hitting the shop as the shop may not allow for installing your provided parts, but if they're already installed, they will make the necessary camber adjustments. What I said here applies as well for the left side Monroe 471128L quick-strut. That said, no more thumps and bumps as I was experiencing with the 160k mile OEMs installed at the factory. Other reviews about quality control, etc. did get my attention, but I took the chance as I've never had problems with Monroe products before. We'll see.
