Description

The DRiV Monroe Air Shock Absorber is engineered for drivers who demand superior performance and reliability from their automotive replacement shocks. Designed to handle extra weight, this air shock absorber can be inflated or deflated up to 150 PSI to maintain ride height under varying loads, making it an ideal solution for hauling or towing situations. With the ability to support up to 1,200 lbs of additional weight—limited by your vehicle's suspension, tires, and transmission—this shock absorber ensures your vehicle remains level and stable, even when fully loaded. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual for specific capacity details and compatibility. Built with heavy-duty construction and precision-ground components, the Monroe Air Shock Absorber stands out among adjustable air shocks for its durability and consistent performance. The sintered iron piston and lubricated air sleeve are designed to help reduce friction, ensuring smooth operation. Full-displaced valving on both the compression and extension cycles allows for superior ride stability support. The OE all-weather fluid contains special modifiers to withstand extreme temperatures, further enhancing the shock absorber’s ability to provide consistent performance in any environment. • Great Replacement
Great fit & replacement. Much smoother ride. Easy to install. Appear to be very good quality for the price.

  • Perfect Replacements
Replaced rear air shocks in an 04 Cadillac Deville. It was completely plug and play with no fuss. Just make sure you have the compatible version of air ride. (Auto level only)

  • Mine weren't white, they were black
These restored the ride quality on my Cadillac DTS for an awesome price, and I'm thrilled by that - my only disappointment was that the listing shows a white pair and I thought that would make a beautiful contrast to the rest of the undercarriage ;-)

  • Great So Far!
My wife and I installed these on her '04 LeSabre this weekend, and they made a world of difference. I've known the air ride has been out for a while, but the car recently got considerably worse (may have had something to do with a curb...) and would wobble constantly. It started to make my wife sick while she was driving, so I started looking for parts. I had a hard time deciding whether to convert to normal shocks or go with air shocks again, but the price made up my mind - $65 for a pair of shocks is hard to beat. Installed them and they work great - no installation issues and they came with basic mounting hardware. The OEM hardware (large washers and top lock / deformed thread nut for the top) was better than what came with these shocks (the nut didn't appear to be a lock nut), so I just kept all the OEM mounting hardware...and maybe I didn't realize they came with hardware until I was half way done. The only hard part was trying to keep from over-extending the shocks while jacking up the car. It probably would have been a good idea to rent a spring compressor as the rear end of the car is too light to keep the shock from extending. There are hardly any miles on the shocks, but thus far, they've been great, and I intend to update as they get some wear. ... show more

  • Perfect fit and easy replacement for DIY
I use these Monroe air shocks to replace original air shocks on my 2003 Buick Bonnieville. These took about one hour total to replace both shocks and completely transformed my ride quality. I have purchased Monroe shocks and struts for other vehicles, and have been very pleased with their quality.

  • Don't last long at all.
First, after installing, I noticed rust on the body where the air bladder was resting while in packaged. When it inflated, it exposed the rust. I didn't think that would cause any issues so I rolled with it. The first week was fine, no issues. After that, I noticed the pump was running longer than I was used to. After about 2 months or so, one shock became bouncy at highway speeds. I tested this by swapping shocks around and the bounce followed the shock. I contacted the seller and they told me they would send a replacement but I had to send them the bad one back. So that car would be down while I waited. I have other vehicles to drive, so no biggie. But to be honest, I didn't feel like I should have to go thru all that. Well its now, not a full years worth of use, and these bladders are leaking. I'm not making this review to try and get replacements or even bad mouth the company. This is just my experience. Sure, maybe I could've replaced that one shock. But both of these are now leaking. So that would've only been a bandaid to the entire issue. Maybe I got a bad batch. Maybe the ones I got were old and that would explain the rust. But regardless, I don't believe that a customer should have to take a shock off and leave their potentially "only" vehicle disabled while they have to wait on a replacement part from a faulty product. So this is my experience, take it for what you want. I will be avoiding air shocks all together and will be doing the shock/strut conversion instead. ... show more
